Very warm, high quality and stylish, but for those of you with long arms it may be a tad short
I purchased this coat this winter after like many others, substantial research. I wanted something with a very high rating on the down but not overly massive. Canada Goose quality but at a lower price point (still pricey though). Upon receiving the coat it was nicely packaged with a nice bag that I have since used for travel packing.Fit: I am 6-2, 165 (38L on Suit Jackets) and usually the larges look like I am swimming in them. I went for a size M as the chest, length and bottom opening was best there. My only concern was the sleeve length. My concerns were validated, in that the sleeves are slightly shorter than I would like, but the torso is perfect. Moving up to a L would have only given me another 0.5 inches on sleeve length while ballooning out the body, so I stuck with the M. There is enough room for a base layer and mid layer under it, but it’s still a comfortable snug fit without that. Thankfully the coat has built in hand/wrist covers so that mitigates some of the sleeve length issue. As far as performance the jacket is great! I gave it a solid two weeks of testing in the upper midwest with temperatures ranging from 15F to -20F and in all situations I was nice and warm. The down in the hood mixed with the coyote fur trim really helps keep your head warm in the colder temps, to the point where I found myself not needing a hat as often. Upon removing the fur trim, the hood is a bit shallow and the wind does hit your face quite a bit more. Additionally, the collar has a very tight fit that ends up doubling as a scarf around my neck, but those with wide necks may have an issue.Overall, I am very happy with the jacket and hope that it holds up for several years at this price point.

Highly Recommended Winter Parka
This Eldridge parka is the equivalent of wearing a gas heater - toasty warm in the worst of our NY weather. Very high quality material and design. Could not be happier with it. There is a lot of Internet talk about fit. I normally wear an XXL. Instead of going up to an XXXL, I stayed with XXL and it fits perfectly. The parka is fitted close to the body so as not to make one look like a blimp. I have plenty of arm movement and the sleeves are the perfect length for me. I wear a shirt and a heavy sweater under this parka and it is not too tight or at all constricting. If I were an arctic explorer, I would want several significant layers under this parka and could not do so without going up another size. But, this coat is so well insulated that in the NE there is no need to consider layering. Therefore the way that the coat is fitted is perfect and it shows every indication of being very durable. Highly recommended.

Amazing jacket with great comfort and quality
This jacket is by far the best in quality and craftsmanship that I have owned. I have owned Carhartt, Canada Goose and everything in between non I enjoyed wearing them for long. They warm either not warm enough, to hot and didn't breath, and came apart at the seems after a short period of time ( a moth) of general use. The comfort of wearing this jacket is by far the most enjoyable compared to a Canada Goose jacket. The quality is amazing and the fur is real fur which I would expect with a jacket for the price. I usually wear a 2XL in jackets but the reviews I read suggested to get a size up, which I did. I am happy to say that I'm glad I did due in the quantity of insulation that is in the jacket. I wore the jacket of a cool day and in a deep freeze for a couple of hours. In both instances I was very comfortable and did not sweat at all. This jacket felt as though it breathed to keep the temperature in the jacket comfortable and warm. If ever have to buy another jacket I would buy a F.A.T. Goose jacket.

Size UP - Excellent Coat
I would give this 5 stars and I would put it against Canada Goose any day. It is less the cost of CG but made in China. I won’t be using this in Antarctica though is for daily use in the NE. Future use is for Newfoundland and Nova Scotia (will edit post exposure). I greatly dislike winter temps and associated wind chill. I have been able to use through some frigid NYC and Philly nights since arrival; excellent.I am slim athletic build and typically on the medium to smaller side of medium. I initially ordered a M and had to bump up to a L.If needed, I am able to use in place of a top coat without loosing a large amount of range of motion, which is a bonus. The wiring in the hood lining is great for shaping the hood and avoiding a sloppy look due to hood draping.I would like to give 5 stars however sizing in arm length is difficult, bumping up to a L, the sleeves are still just a tad short though functional enough. The gaiters are a great addition to the sleeves though should be elongated just slightly. When in use they are stretched even with very little bulk under the coat.I would recommend if you would like solid coverage in harsh conditions without dropping 1kUSD, though remember to size up.

Great parka!
A really well made garment. It is definitely for extreme cold weather, I have not used it much yet because the temperatures in my area have not reached below freezing. The fabric looks very resistant. One thing I don’t like is the buttons to access the pockets, they are complicated to be released. Some sort of Velcro or zippers might have been better. The parka is heavy, and therefore if you need to put anything in your external pockets it makes it a bit difficult. The zippered external pocket in the right forearm is very convenient. I carry my cell phone there. Overall, very happy with my purchase. I was going back and forth between Triple FAT and Canada Goose when acquiring a good parka for winter, but the price difference does not justify a superior quality In CG. Both are comparable. Triple FAT is made in China and CG is made in Canada, but in practical terms they are both very similar.
