Root Your Own beauty - Through scalp and fundamental hair root care, RYO achieves the beauty of full, healthy hair by combining Asian ingredients with customized solutions for hair loss concerns. Review: amazing for hair loss - It smells like bathroom cleaner, but that's ok because it works and it is amazing. You have to massage the scalp while soaping and leave it for at least 5 minutes (that's what it says in the label written in korean). It is made with fermented ginseng extract, tea from Jeju Island, herbal extracts and caffeine, this shampoo works and hair loss is not a problem for us anymore. Wash your hair everyday tho, leaves the hair pretty airy and lightweight Review: Pungent "Green" scent - Arrived in a bigger small bottle, large around so less likely to tip over. Plunger down .. but nothing wrapped around to help if it breaks or the plunger works lose. Mine arrived in good shape, but I'd be worried about this. Made in S. Korea Very pungent scent .. like essential healing oils. Not sure, maybe eucalyptus or tea tree? There is an English list of ingredients, but it is very difficult to read it. I'm dyslexic and I just can't get my eyes to stay focused on the font and how wide the list is wrapped around the curve of the bottle. Seems to work fine. You don't need a lot. Scent stays with you. But this is only 17 oz for $32 - and that is quite pricey. I would not purchase again.

A lot of ingredients!
I don’t know what to make of this shampoo. As other reviewers have said, most of it is printed in Korean, with some paper English stickers over it. I’m not sure what “hair loss” shampoo means. Does it prevent hair from falling out? Does it regrow hair? It seems to indicate “hair strengthening” but I have no way of verifying any of that. Usually, such things take months and I don’t know if I want to use this for months. Also, it does not specify how often to use it. Daily? Weekly? Twice a week? Often "hair restoration" shampoos aren't applied every single day. On the front of the bottle, it lists tea tree, eucalyptus, mint, ginger, and rosemary. I’m not exactly Mr. Natural, and I don’t expect to recognize every ingredient in everything I use. But a look at the label and the number of ingredients really intimidated me. (See photo of back label.) I have never seen any shampoo with so many ingredients—and so many that I don’t recognize. There are a lot of long names: some natural and some chemical sounding. I pulled out a lighted magnifying glass to try and read everything, and it’s my job to read things (I’m an editor) and I couldn’t figure it out. The smell is not all that pleasant. To me, it smells detergent-y, and reminds me of an industrial cleaner. The shampoo itself is thin, but it certainly lathers up and makes my hair feel smooth and soft before I rinse it off. I do know that this is a generous-sized bottle (17 ounces) but it’s also not inexpensive. So, all in all, this review is inconclusive. If I see a change in my hair or scalp, I’ll come back and revise this.

Seems Okay
This sits at 3.5 stars for me. As others have mentioned, it has a long list of ingredients and is not very clear on how it actually helps your hair/scalp. It does the job of cleaning hair, albeit with a very strong smell.

Nice, Refreshing Shampoo
The shampoo is really nice! I really like the scent and the cool refreshing feeling of the mint is great while washing my hair. I can't speak to the actual strengthening aspect, I haven't really noticed anything different in my hair since using it. But I really like the scent and how my hair feels afterward, so it's a great shampoo in my book! I know this will also sound weird, but the pump is really nice. Like, sometimes I feel like with some bottles the pump just feels cheap and you have to pump multiple times to get enough shampoo. But with this bottle one full pump is more than enough!

Ryo Root: Gen Hair Strength Shampoo -- a Truly GREAT Shampoo for Men
This Ryo Root: Gen Hair Strength Shampoo is really nice! It has a fresh, tingly feel to my scalp that I really like! Also, a very nice smell that is manly, yet subtle and definitely not overpowering. This shampoo is deep cleaning too! Granted, it is a more expensive shampoo than what I typically buy, but what I do is use a different shampoo for my first shampooing, then rinse and apply this RYO shampoo that feels & works just great! That way, making it go farther, I can use less of this premium product while still enjoying its positive benefits.

Smells a big strong
This shampoo comes in a generous size bottle and dispenses by pump. I have had no issues with getting it to work and dispense properly, but I am still not a fan of this shampoo for a couple of reasons: first of all, I don’t really like the smell. Fragrance just isn’t my thing, but it especially isn’t when it’s powerful. Also, it smells quite masculine. I know this is intended to be a men’s shampoo, and it certainly smells like one to me. I wouldn’t say this is a very attractive scent for a woman to wear, but I wouldn’t really like it on a man either to be honest. Secondly, the instructions were so small I really couldn’t read the side of the bottle. It would be nice if things were written for people a little more clearly so that we can make sure we’re using the product correctly. I did note that it doesn’t take a lot of product to wash my hair, and it suds up pretty good. Also, my hair was left feeling fresh and clean, along with my scalp. it doesn’t irritate me or anything like that, but it just isn’t something I’m overly enthusiastic about. I’m not sure if this is helpful at growing hair or not, it would take a lot of time to be able to gauge something like that. Regretfully, I don’t plan to use this for a long period of time due to the scent of it. I will continue to search for something I like that I can stick to for a while, and hope for results

A potent shampoo with a pleasant smell
I can't really comment on the strengthening properties of this shampoo, but it definitely makes your scalp feel fresh. I also use it on my beard; and it does well at softening it. It almost reminds me of tea tree oil shampoo with the way it smells, and that's not bad since it's a popular scent for men's hair products. The price tag is a little high for being an off-brand shampoo though, so I had to knock a star off for that since I've used better for half the price, but overall it's a solid 4 I'd say, and only time will tell how it's strengthening properties work.
