🔌 Power Up Your Peace of Mind!
The X10PRO XPF 20A Wired-In Noise Filter is designed to block electrical noise from appliances up to 20A while allowing X10 signals to pass through seamlessly. It can be easily installed at either the fixture or electrical panel, making it a versatile choice for enhancing your home's electrical system.

Solves Flakey X10 Installations
Been an X10 user for some 40 years. Newer electronic devices, TVs, power bricks, power supplies, etc. can not only put noise on the power lines, preventing signals to turn on devices on command, but can actually generate spurious X10 signals on the power line causing lamps and lighting in particular to actually turn on at odd hours, even in the middle of the night. The plug in filters like the XPPF Plug In Noise Filter, are OK for smaller devices, but for larger devices and home theater installations the 5 amp current limit is unacceptable. I mount these in a 3 gang metal wall box with a 16 gauge 3 conductor grounded plug to the wall and a 20 amp duplex outlet on the box to plug the offending devices into. I have three of them in various locations throughout the house, One isolating my two Ultimaker 3D printers, (4 amp power brick on each) a second one on my main office computer and one in the living room home theater installation.A lot of work to keep an ageing technology like X10 working, but our current house of some 28 years has been wired with X10 dating back to the Leviton days using the CMA 11A computer interface. If you stay after the noise generating devices it all works beautify.

Have an X-10 home automation system? You'll need these!
I've lost count of how many of these I've installed in our home to prevent electronic devices from polluting the AC power. My search for spare 20A XPF noise filters found these. :)The pros:+ Killer price of $8.94 each when I bought 2. I had to pay shipping, but 2 for $27.04 is a sweet deal!+ 120-240 VAC operation.+ These heavy duty 20A X-10 noise filter do a very good job.+ Very little noise (buzz) under heavy load. The cons:- Doesn't have a UL tested label.- The 12 gauge stranded wire leads are on the short side & are VERY stiff!Closing thoughts:▪ I've been using X-10 home automation for over 40 years. Nothing messes up the operation of the X-10 system more than a noisy electrical device, such as switching power supplies (computers) & electronic fluorescent ballasts! I install X-10 5A XPPF plug in noise filters as needed, using these when I need one rated for more than 5A.► NOTE - Opening this device could void any warranty!▪ With a bit of fabrication... drill some holes + relocate the filter circuit board to other half of the case (easy to do), these 20A XPF filters can be easily modified to attach onto a single-gang outlet box. I've done this many time. :)

Lightweight device, but actually seems to work very well!
We have x10 for all our outdoor and more remote lights, using 12/16 channels on one letter. We installed a new 'mod-con' high efficiency gas heating boiler (Lochinvar). Our x10 lights started switching on and off randomly and regularly. Our diligent boiler contractor looked this up and suggested it, although he had never heard of this problem before.I ordered it quickly and and fitted it in the boiler supply circuit, and - hey presto - the lights behave themselves again! It feels very lightweight, and I was afraid it might struggle to handle the power and perhaps overload. No worries - it runs totally cold, and handles all the power well. One gripe is that it is rather hard to mount. The only holes are where the wires come out (4 open ones one end, 1 at the other). The holes are very small diameter - traditional mounting screws do not work. Also the wires are fine twisted copper strands, which do not blend well with single strand house-wires in wirenuts.

worked great
worked great filtering out noise from LED lights. my x10 controls would not work until I installed this.

Does the job!
After replacing about twelve 4' hidden fluorescent bulbs above a tray ceiling with LED bulbs, I found that an X10 setup would not work when the lights were on. I looked online and found out about the electrical noise problem those bulbs create for X10, found this filter and installed it. End of problem. The wires and the filter are heavy duty. The only problem is finding a place to put it. If the fixtures were a bit wider I could have put it in the first one of the string. FYI this problem with LED and X10 is only when you have a lot of LED bulbs like I did. I have other LED bulbs around the house with no problem.

X10 Noise Filter So So
I've been using X10 for 27 years + so I'm familiar with noise filters and what they are suppose to do. I had a 15 amp plug in filter I was using before this and it seemed to keep line noise down really well. I decided after the plug-in filter blew it's internal fuse I'd try this. Truth be told I'm still experiencing the same line noise issue on that circuit. Usually I like most X10 material but this one didn't impress me so much.

Solved My Insteon ToggleLinc Problem!
I was having trouble controlling my outdoor LED flood lights with a home automation Insteon ToggleLinc switch. The lights would turn on without fail, but once on, the noise generated by the LED lights caused interference on the Insteon Powerline Frequency of 131.65KHz thereby making them impossible to turn off except by me manually flipping the light switch toggle. I installed this filter and the problem was instantly resolved! My lights now turn on and off via home automation without fail.

it works
Installed this filter in my detached garage: fluorscent lights would prevent themselves from being turned off via x10 signal.I have used this filter about 2 weeks; only 1 time did the lights not respond (before, they almost never responded, once "on"). I am satisfied with this product.I used a 3 gang box, as recommended by others.
