Stretchy top
Finally a diabetic sock that is for a men's size 13 foot! They have been hard to find and still be stretchy enough at the top. Plus my husband only likes gray socks.

Socks seem rugged, and still reduce pressure on the calf
These socks definitely minimize pressure on your calf and help maintain good circulation to the feet. The socks have no problem staying in place either. They seem to be rather rugged and none have gotten holes to this point. The upper portion of the sock is a bit of an open mesh but the mesh is woven in a manner that it is still pretty opaque. That mesh is probably not a problem for most people, but we live in an area that is a bit swampy and there are many very tiny small insects, including chigger nymphs and other nippy tiny things, and the mesh offers no resistance to them. I still use them and put up with this negative. It is the reason though why I reduced my rating from 5 star to 4 star on the comfort and overall rating. (As with that Queen tune, "I want it all, I want it all, I want it all, and I want it now! :)

Socks-wise, it does not get much better than this.
I'm prediabetic (weigh too much) so my doctor recommended getting some less binding socks. I searched Amazon, read reviews and decided to try these socks.I love them. I'v been wearing nothing but these socks for over 2 months and not only do the stay up very well, they are comfortable and not overly hot given they are fairly thick compared to my white athletic tube socks (Hanes) that are a bit thinner. I hate my feet to sweat and these seem (it is still winter, but I live in CA, it's about 65 outside right now...) to wick sweat better than my Hanes socks do.I'm very pleased with all aspects of the product. Fit is as expected. Packaging was stupid-hard to get apart - quite easy actually (the Hanes suck the life out of you just getting them loose from the forever-packing they came in) and Amazon product delivery was, as usual, perfect in terms of meeting expectations.

Good socks and decent value
My husband has enjoyed theses socks. They have shank a bit with laundering but have held up pretty well. They are loose enough to go over his feet easily but still have good stretch and stay up without being too tight. My husband wears a 13xxxxwide so sometimes we have trouble finding comfortable socks for him. That's why I went with a diabetic sock. I think these would be safe and comfortable for a true diabetic. I haven't noticed any hard edges that could poke into the toes or heel and they are nice , soft and stretchy. Wish I'd had theses for my father instead of buying the very expensive ones at Walmart . These are comparable and I got them for a good price.
