Product description ------------------- Our whole natural almonds from Spain/ Italy are delicious, creamy, sweet tasting nuts. Our natural almonds come with the skins on for all the almond goodness (the skin contains additional fibre and E). Almonds are high in protein and fibre and are an excellent source of omega 3 and 6 ty s and E. They are also rich is magnesium, calcium, selenium, iron, potassium, niacin, phosphorous, copper and zinc. Almonds are excellent for homemade trail mixes, baking, in muesli and porridge, curries and salads. They are also good for creating your own almond dairy free milk and almond butters. Please note with Spanish almonds there can always be up to 2% of the almonds that can taste bad, this is just what happens European almonds, sweet almond trees in Europe are bred by grafting from bitter almond trees and therefore sweet almond trees carry very small as of bitter almonds. In California, the other main region of almond production, 100% of the almonds harvested are sweet almonds with no bitter almond share. Unfortunately Californian almonds are usually processed by pasteurisation (heating to high temperatures) and not considered raw.
