Great antanna, easy to install. And well worth the money

So I needed an aerial for my mobile CB radio (kinda obvious I know) I read the reviews and it sounded like a good little item. So I bought one. Amazon did their thing and I received next day. So I went to install and setup on my truck. Installed the DV base without incident (phew), got the little zip bag with the fittings for connecting the whip and base to the DV base. This is where things became frustrating. Neither end of the two sided bolt fit into the hole, so I was unable to complete the install process. Thankfully I had the 10mm drill I had used to drill the hole in the body work, so I used that to make the hole big enough for the 2 sidd bolt. But it's not drilling a through hole, oh no. It's drilling using the side of drill bit to make the diameter of the holes 2mm bigger. Success after 20 mins of fiddly drilling. So now the 2 sided bolt fits nice and snug.Next problem is that the serated edges of the base joint which are supposed to lock it into place if positioned at angle, well they were so fine they do not connect with each other, also the tool supplied to tighten the 2 sided bolt is so small it literally is a finger tip job, so no way to get this sucker greater than finger tight.Finally sorted that out, only thing left to do is feed coax through and connect to CB. Simple job (honestly it only took 5 mins) grabbed the PL plug to connect to back of rig, it fell off. Yes the PL plug fell off into my hand. So needed the coax soldering back into the PL plug.So what should of taken no more than 30 mins to install, took just shy of 2 hours.The very simple instructions are only a parts list and shows if you move the metal ring on the base either up or down it tunes the aerial frequency. In reality, it does no such thing, adjusting the metal screw ring on the aerial base is for adjusting the SWR, Got it from 2.8 down to 1.3 (Finally a positive result)Gave 3 stars because of the numerous issues and the misleading description, poor instructions oh yeah and the fiddly little thumb screw tool thing for tightening the 2 sided bolt. Which when done it is almost invisible, very nice smooth finish.If I knew I was doing a review I would of taken photos along the install drama.

Was easy to install but doesn't work with cb

Pretty good. Liked the colors. Just a Dec of sorts on a piece of tin. It's OK tho.
