No power, but excellent case. Solid build, includes a hot swap sata bay and keeps things silent.

Q: Is this an aluminum case? Or is the body made primarily out of steel or a plastic composite?

Steel with a plastic front and glass door. Nice case fans very quiet well made happy with mine in which I have just fitted a water cooling kit so versatile too. Hope that helps.

The 141mm dimension you give is the height, so that probably won't present a problem for any modern case. http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mini-tower-silencio-series/silencio352/ indicates it accommodates CPU coolers upto 155mm tall, which suggests you'll be OK there.The dimension you probably care more about is the length. Assuming you're talking about one of these: http://uk.msi.com/product/vga/GTX-970-GAMING-4G.html#hero-specification that's 269mm. The 352 specification says it takes graphics cards upto 355mm long.

Q: Is it possible to disable the LED on the front? i.e can you avoid putting them on by not plugging in a certain cable?

it has its never bothered me. but its also connected to your motherboard to tell that the HD is busy or basically the computers doing something i guess in theory you dont have to plug it in to MB so then you wont get it. but not advisory TBH But if you really want to just dont plug it in, it should be the HD plug from case to attached to motherboard. Not advisory though as you do need it
