Great collection.
This collection, because that is what this is, is one of the best all round. It is not just a single program but a collection of a few. The only downside being that it contain CD's in German dubbed into English or over dubbed I should say but also the same CD in German with subtitles, what is the point? All in all a great collection with a lot of new stuff as well as some older programs as well. After i bought it I found it 50% cheaper in Sainsbury's but what the hell, it's still good.

10/10
Excellent series of documentaries from the BBC to mark the centenary of the Great War. A fine addition and companion to the BBC’s groundbreaking ‘The Great War’ (1964) which I also have on DVD. Highly recommend!

Worth buying...
For the price, this must be one of the best buys on WWI around. All DVD sets on the wars of the 20th. century inevitably containsimilar archival footage, differing opinions and total SNAFUs (showing a Spitfire with invasion stripes during the 'Battle of Britain' and Mitsubishi Zeros attacking ships in the English Channel)....happily this series has no such blunders and does a decent job but it's not in the same league as the BBC series of THE GREAT WAR which is now nearly £200 new (I collected the free Daily Mail discs!).I can happily recommend this set but read the description and contents first.... it's not a detailed, comprehensive account and doesn't pretend to be.

Great gift for Military History lovers...
Bought as a gift for my Military History loving Husband. It was a fantastic price in the Black Friday deals and is a lovely commemorative collection. My Husband was absolutely thrilled with it.
