This double-walled tumbler is an excellent tea infuser. It can also be used to infuse fruit flavor to water by dropping in pieces of fresh fruit. It comes with two stainless-steel pieces which serve, (1) as a tea-leaf container, and (2) its top which can double as sieve to keep the tea leaves from getting out of the tumbler and into your cup or --if you drink directly from the tumbler-- into your mouth. The two stainless pieces can be screwed together and used as a removable tea strainer to infuse tea only when the tumbler is full. I use it with only the sieve installed, placing the tea leaves in the bottle itself. The leaves remain in the tumbler and infuse tea into the water but are kept from getting into your cup or your mouth by the sieve at the top of the tumbler. After drinking the tea, you can fill the tumbler again with hot water and make an additional batch of tea repeating the process according to taste.The bottle is double-walled, which gives some insulation so that even when filled with hot water it's quite warm but doesn't get so hot as to make handling it uncomfortable. It should keep tea hot about 2 or 3 hours. It holds 16 ounces of liquid when filled to the top, but I found that about 14 ounces is the limit if you want to pour from the tumbler into a cup without spilling down the side of the bottle. The top provides a secure seal (for the couple of days I've used it). I left it 15 minutes with the top on, lying horizontal on my desk without leaks. The top is formed of compressed layers of bamboo which has been worked to accommodate a plastic, inner lid with an apparently silicone seal which appears sturdy.I'm happy with my purchase. It's just what I was looking for in a tea infuser.

This is just what I was looking for. I can't speak to how warm or cold it keeps liquids, or how sturdy it is carrying it around, (although the glass feels sturdy), because I needed it for a rather unusual use. I'm extracting vanilla beans in it. It's the perfect size for 1.5 oz of beans and 1.5 cups of alcohol, and it just covers the beans, which is exactly what is needed.I wouldn't hesitate to buy another for this use.

I really like this product for making my hot tea at night before bed. The material is pretty strong and its double walled so it won't burn your hand as you handle it. I also use it to make fruit water. Would recommend.
