No problems with the hands (left or right) holding the pistols. Base of the pistol grip is a little bit wider than the mid part, but as long as you slide it in at an angle you should be okay. The helmet is easier going on than taking off. I have to kind of wiggle the head side to side while gently pulling up to remove it.
