Great way to get content to reluctant readers!
I have a mixed class with some very reluctant readers, and some students who hate lecture. I offered this as an alternative, letting them know which pages to look at each day, to match up with my other curriculum. This was EXTREMELY effective, and got many of my kids interested, and well-versed on the basics of WWI!

Good value. Quick shipping.
Well written. Bought for 10 year old grandson. He's into learning about the World Wars. Easy for kids to read and learn history.

A well structured and interesting book
I found this book via the Book Trust, while looking for something to use for my PGCE interview, where I had a book presentation. I stand by everything I said about this book during my interview- Everything is neatly laid out and well structured, with topics broken down into simple, easy to read chunks which will keep the reader interested. The book is also neatly designed and colourful, I particularly like how the author has used several pictures from the IWM. While it may not be the most detailed WW1 book out there, it gives a good insight and overview of the key events/topics of the war. Overall, a fascinating and entertaining book- one which helped me secure a place on my PGCE course! Recommended.

Great book
This book is great and really informative. I have used it to help me plan my history unit on World War 1 for year 5 children.
