It's all of those things. What a great little device the cool folks at Tranesca have come up with this time. I'd previously bought their Bluetooth adapter for Bose QC25 headphones, which is so good I bought another one for my daughter. This speaker is a nice size; many others I've seen or bought are too small. It's a very attractive speaker and the build quality is good.The sound quality is surprisingly robust and does a good job with both streaming audio and audio from the SD card capability (which is a cool plus feature). The instructions say that the speaker needs to be used a while before its true fidelity can be heard and I found this to be accurate. After I'd used it for about an hour, the sound really settled in and became surprisingly rich for so small a speaker. The light function is very pleasing; the hues are soft and relaxing. I like that there are several colors and three intensities for the white light mode.Setup was easy and it paired flawlessly with my Samsung Galaxy S8+. It's keeping time accurately so far and I've tested the alarm function, which works as it should. Finally, a great touch is the hook/hanger on the bottom so you can place it on any hook, nail, stick, whatever and fill your surroundings with sound.I'm very pleased and recommend this highly!

This is a good Bluetooth speaker at a great price that has typical basic functions but with several unexpected extra features.Basics...it sets up easily, is simple to operate, has nice sound quality, plenty of volume and good battery life.Extras...it has a built-in clock with a pleasant alarm; it has a micro-SD interface so it becomes an MP3 player; it acts as a night or mood light with a choice of glow colors and a dimming function; it has a hanging hook making it great for camping or a beach umbrella.All in all, this is an economical every-day utility speaker that is both multi-functional and well conceived. A big plus is its micro SD Slot allowing for easy transport of a music library from a home system.

Pros:Bluetooth connects very easily and stays connected at over 30 feet.The Volume can be made very loud with very little distortion and no noticeable rattle in the speaker case.The Lighting is a cute feature. The setting to cycle the colors is relaxing.The Battery lasted just over 12 hours with low volume at the minimum night light setting.SD card was detected and worked perfectly.I have over 40 years experience in electronics design and manufacturing of consumer products. And have been mil certified for soldering, so I opened the case and checked the soldering quality of the components to the PC Board.The soldering is actually of a very good quality for a product at this price point.The USB Micro jack metal housing was soldered to PCB which helps to keep the connector from breaking away from the PCB when the USB cable is plugged in. I have seen many in the past who do not solder the housing and the micro USB jacks on those constantly break causing the product to no longer be able to be charged unless you can solder parts that tiny. I have fixed many that I have found in the trash at work.Cons:IMHO the Bass and overall sound is muddy but decent for the type of product it is.The Bluetooth Master volume doesn't work properly in Win10. I was able to make it work with a windows registry hack than I found online. This could be a BT revision issue. I don't know the version of BT used in this product. But an iPhone and Android phone both connected and the volume control worked properly.The Buttons are very small and feel like they won't last long. The on/off button was already sticking during my testing. While I had the unit open I checked the mechanical interface between the button and the actual switches. The plastic plunger that pushes the electrical switch of the Mode and Power buttons was offset (not centered) due to the curvature of the case. I expect these will wear out quickly.Setting the clock and alarm can be a bit annoying.During testing it locked up with no functions working. I couldn't turn it off. Nothing but changing the light settings. At that time I didn’t know the little hole in the bottom of the case is to reset the unit, so I just waited for the battery to go dead for it to reset itself. After it was charged again it worked with no problem.The night light gets a lot brighter than its initial min setting the longer it is on.Question I have:Should the BT be able to disconnect and go to a different device automatically? It does not. I don’t know if that is related to how old the BT revision is in this product. What version of BT is this?I received a full refund on this product from Transeca because I am a member of their Bonus club. I was not required to post a review to get this refund but I did it anyway. This did not change my review of the product. My integrity is worth more than the price of this or any other product I review. I don’t give 5 stars unless I feel the product deserves it.

Wow--a really useful item that does a lot of different things. It has an alarm clock, lights of multiple colors and also different brightness levels. I've been using it as a night light and an alarm and I've also been playing music and streaming internet radio with my phone a couple of rooms away. It has a great compact footprint, but nice big sound that can be controlled from your phone (or other device) or the speaker itself. It comes with all the connectors needed and for me the charge lasts about 12 hours. Looks modern and sleek.Update:So happy with this speaker that I bought a second one! It connects seamlessly through bluetooth to any of our devices and works great. The sound quality is fantastic and rivals other speakers costing much more that don't offer the other features this one has. The lights (we even use it as a night light sometimes), the alarm, the clock, the battery time, and the sound quality made this an easy decision for me to purchase a second one. Easily fits in with any decor and takes a small footprint. I highly recommend it!

This item surprised me. I was not expecting to use the light feature but it actually makes the product that much more useful. I use this as a simple all-in-one device when I travel. It combines a clock, a soft light, and a bluetooth speaker all into one. The bluetooth pairing was simple. The speaker quality was very adequate and usable. Don't expect it to sound like $300 speakers but the sound is actually very clean and loud. It is very simple to change the type of light and the color. Since it is touch based, changing the light can be done without searching for buttons. I love that it is small enough to pack in luggage and easy to setup. I can't wait to take it when we go camping.
