Storage!
This is a great addition to the car. Looks OEM, adds a lot more storage, easy to install, don't put too much wait on it, usb is very slow charge but better than nothing. You will have to DRILL THE SCREWS to secure it TO THE CUPHOLDER holder.

It's just okay
This product is easy to install. Although, it does not come with instructions, nor the side panels shown on the box. It's also a bit wobbly once fitted into place, & I have no way of hooking it up to a power source in my 2008 R56 Mini Cooper. Therefore making all of the USB ports useless. If we're going off straight appearances, it looks great in place. Is it worth the $?...Not for my situation. It works for now until I can find a better option.

Does NOT Fit 2014 Mini
So I really really wanted to like this because my existing armrest is falling apart. So with the help of the lovely mechanic mini community I was able to disassemble my existing armrest. Unfortunately, while trying to reinstall the cup holder that this base into I discovered the flaw. My existing cup holder has an arch on the back which covered the pivot of the armrest up and down. When trying to seat this cup holder adaptment into that one it won't sit flush because of the curve. So sadly this is a no-go.

Don't think of this as a traditional armrest
This was designed to mount in a cupholder that was toward the back of the console. 4 adhesive foam dots were to be used to secure the armrest. In no way was the armrest secure or stable. If you leaned on it to put your seatbelt on, it would tip over and you would have to put it back in the cupholder. I guess you could use screws that secure the armrest base, but I was not going to drill holes for something that I didn't consider substantial enough to keep in the long term. Nice idea, but...

Kinda unstable and not the best fit and finish but otherwise not to shabby
Not terrible but yet not great poor fit and finish cheaply put together (i know its not expensive)I would have liked it better if it latched closed but otherwise not terrible
