NEW IN BOX RECEIVED AT DISCOUNT PRICE
Wow! This was new in the box at discount price. Can’t wait to try it out. Will review more later! Love fresh ground coffee and burr grinders are the best for it! 06/13/26: Finally set it up. Works great but the grinder does not fill the basket completely to the top when grinding. When I take basket out to brew more grinds start falling to the plate beneath. That was my first brew. Second time after grinding I lightly tapped the grinder to get all the ground coffee into the filter container. That worked. It DOES make great FRESH coffee. The strength is determined by the size of the cup you choose to brew cause the ground coffee that goes into the filter basket is preset by the manufacturer!

One month review
Our Keurig gave out after several years of heavy use. We used a grinder for our beans and then put them into a reusable filter to make our coffee. So this coffee maker would clear up some space on our counters and keep grinding and brewing central. Here are my impressions one month in. For the sake of brevity I’ll keep comments brief. Coffee Taste: This thing makes great tasting coffee! I’ve enjoyed my coffee so much more with this maker. Quality of Build: Maker feels cheap with a lot of plastic so I am concerned about its longevity. I bought a warranty just in case. Reservoir: Only two people in our home and we find ourselves filling the reservoir often. It is much smaller than the previous Keurig we had. Grinder: This is the feature that should make this maker shine and some senses it does. Here are few insights: - The grind cannot be adjusted. However, I’ve found it to be perfect for a wonderful cup. - The motor housing comes up right in the middle of the hopper and takes up a lot of real estate. So it takes care to fill the hopper up without bouncing beans off of the motor housing onto the counter. - The amount of coffee ground is pre-determined with one touch but you can stop and start the grind with another push of the grind button if you wish to. It can be messy. Grounds do ‘jump’ out at times during the grinding. At times the amount of ground coffee is higher than the brim of the filter and it gets scraped off when removing the filter from under the grinder. The way I avoid this scraping off of grounds is to shake the filter during or after the grinding process to lower the level enough to avoid spillage. We have noticed when removing the tray from the platform that there is a lot of grounds loss underneath. I think this comes from the actual grinding process and also from what falls from the grinder’s mouth when the machine is bumped or moved. To clean up errant grounds we have a small Fantik handheld vacuum that we keep under a cabinet to quickly suck up any mess. This isn’t a big deal because the presence of any grinder is going to result in some grounds needing to be cleaned up every day. Here are some things I wish the maker had: an iced-coffee option, and a timer for auto on and off. All in all because of the great tasting coffee this machine makes, we are going to hold on to it.

Good but not perfect!
This, upon online viewing, seemed a great value. Simple design, small footprint, ability to store and grind beans and water were all great points! The main problem I see with the machine is its auto brew function. It seems to work as intended, but that is the problem. It is set to brew three specific amounts. The 8oz was measured at exactly 8 ounces which is good because that is what it is labeled, but what the manufacturers and designers did not seem to realize is that coffee cups usually hold 8 OZ. Who wants a cup of coffee where the coffee is to the brim and leaves no room for even the slightest tipping or bumping resulting in painful burns. This does not even account for those who like cream or sugar, which will clearly not even fit into the cup until some is removed. For an 8oz cup a maximum or 6 oz of coffee should be dispensed. As far as flavor it is on par with any brewed cup of coffee without the use of a paper filter. The filter provided with the machine works fine but you can always tell the difference between a disposable paper filter and a washable filter. The machine heats up and will brew a cup of coffee relatively fast. The auto shut off of 30 minutes seems very much excessive. The auto shut off should be instant because there is no heating to keep the coffee warm after it is brewed. So it should shut off automatically as soon as the brew process has completed. Waiting 30 minutes just seems like a complete waste to me. Overall I like the machine and I will be keeping it, although I hope if they decided to make changes they would send me a free machine because of the ideas I listed here. As far as recommendations it is really kind of iffy. If you drink coffee often and hate cleanup then this is a good machine.

Three years on and still pleased with this coffee maker
Just passed the 3 year mark with this unit and still very pleased. Between my wife and I we make 3-5 cups per day, so it has held up well. The unit has worked flawlessly. The grind is perfect for my taste. As other have noted, the bean container can be a bit difficult to fill, but pour them in slowly and just count on a few beans falling out. Also, it tends to grind a bit longer than needed resulting in some ground coffee spillage. I just count off 18 seconds and stop grinding, and there is no spillage. Neither of these minor issues are a deal breaker by any means. The ability to swap in K Cups is a tremendous advantage. If it ever breaks, I'll certainly get another.

Great for small amounts of freshly ground coffee.
Great small or single cup maker. Grinds beans for freshness. Excellent product.

Messy! Stopped working in less than a year
It still grinds coffee but it never lights up to brew any longer. What a waste of money, I thought Cuisinart was a good brand. While it worked, it did make a good cup of coffee but it grinds too many beans for one cup and it creates a mess at the coffee station; I’m constantly having to clean coffee grounds up on the counter and floor! I like the grinders that grind & brew without all the fuss of having to get a filter, stick it under the grinder, press the button to grind, remove the filter, close the lid, put it into the brew side close that lid, select a size and now you can brew. While you wait you can clean up the mess of the overflowing grinds and trying to snap the lid closed when it was over flowing. Actually takes longer to clean the mess than it does to brew. Nonetheless, it will not brew any longer so I can get rid of this messy machine! Never will I do this again! The other thing to note here is that the grinder while good, the item which holds the beans is a poor design. First the container (100% plastic) cannot be removed and also isn’t air tights to keep the beans fresh! So if you need to remove the beans, you have to unplug the machine, remove the water dispenser, and tip the machine upside down and shake it until all the beans fall out come out, if you forget to remove the lid, no worries it will fall off, the container for the beans is not air tight.. If you are the type that likes different beans this is NOT the machine for you because changing the beans is a PITA. If you and everyone in the house drink exactly the same thing everyday then I guess this will work for 7-10 months and then it will break. I see no advantages to this grinder from a separate grinder. A separate grinder will allow you to change the container, not be so messy, and you don’t have to keep the beans in there to go stale. It is not a quiet machine, but then no good coffee machine will be; if you want quiet get a percolator or instant! The grinder will wake any light to moderate sleeper and when it brews it builds up a pressure, heat, and spits and steams. If that didn’t wake you the wonderful aroma of fresh coffee will. The coffee is hotter than most single brews so it has that going for it, but as with most home machines everything is plastic and will cease to work much quicker than some professional machines. For $120 and not making it even a year, it is not a good value as I don’t think I even got a return on my investment being the machine cost me a $1 a day during its life. Add that to the cost of beans, waste, water, cream, sugar and labor to clean up the mess it made, it is actually cheaper to go get a cup of coffee at the coffee shop. If this were a $49 machine then maybe it would be break even!

Coffee grinder convenience but coffee brewer makes lousy low-flavor brew
The convenience of the burr grinder dumping directly into a single serve pod is great!! Some reviews complain of grinds flying out, but ours wasn't so bad, though it is messy. Freshly ground beans for the early dark-o-thirty coffee pep dumping directly into a pod is simple and convenient, the coffee quality is better, waste is less, and pod cost is zero. Its quick and easy for the groggy coffee drinker. I just can't function first thing in the morning and need a fast and very simple process. Win! The beans have to be super fresh. We tried existing beans [pretty old I guess, oops] from our cabinet but did not get the desired flavor until we used freshly purchased Starbucks Pike's Place. So the resulting brew is pungent and strong. yum. But would those grounds produce a better brew if the coffee maker was better? Unfortunately the coffeemaker doesn't make the best coffee. When we tried our existing pods [Costco's organic Pacific Bold] we were shocked at the weak quality of the brewed coffee. This Cuisinart produced tasteless, watery, diner-like quality pod brew. The brewer only offers 3 sizes of cups: 8, 10, and 12 oz. Due to the weak brew, we had to use the 8 oz setting to get a slightly stronger less watery brew, 10 oz being normally preferred. The water isn't hot enough [measured at 180] and the grounds are not pre-wet or held for a moment to get the most flavor. When trying the coffee maker with pre-made pods, the coffee was way weak, way worse that our existing Keurig. Our Keurig, with the "strong" button and the really hot water produces a much better flavor and a hotter cup - yea, shocking right? With very hot water and holding that water in the grounds longer, the Keurig flavor is more intense. Brewing with existing varied pods is important: pods offer a variety of flavor, strengths, and decaf for guests or ourselves when variety is desired. Changing out the beans in the hopper isn't convenient if you want a different variety. We really need a coffee maker that brews fresh single-serve grounds and pre-made K-type pods too. Would really like a standalone grinder that simply puts grounds into a pod quickly, as this Cuisinart grinder does, but without the lousy coffee maker. I have searched Amazon and other suppliers, a stand-alone grinder for pods doesn't seem to exist except for one no-name maker with very lousy reviews which I won't chance. We like the look of the white coffee maker on our white counter and white backsplash - really wanted to like this. So disappointed. Will be returning this.
