Wow! A life-changing investment!
Life-changing for this 87-year-old: I have asthma and can walk only a few steps before huffing and puffing and needing to sit; I have also become unsteady on my feet and need a reassuring support to walk any distance - more than a cane offers. I thought my "go for a walk" days were over. My Drive rollator fills all my needs. Great "walker" support and very comfortable handles; I step right out with complete confidence; when I tire, I just use the excellent brakes and sit in the tall, comfortable seat for a while, wherever I find myself, enjoying the nature around me. There is a large pouch inconspicuously placed under the seat which holds a multitude of things - sweater, keys, purse, tissues, a book, a bite to eat, etc., etc. This rollator has become a close member of the family and I have named her "Ruby" because of her lustrous, cranberry red color. Last Sunday, in the pouring rain, I folded Ruby up and we (the two of us - I still drive in daylight) went to an afternoon talk and performance of Verdi's Requiem, a magnificent production. Ruby folded up small enough to fit into a space behind me. I haven't been to a concert in ages, but Ruby made this and future ones possible. She has certainly given me back some lost independence. Now, about Ruby: she is extremely well-made, very sturdy, and at the same time is very lightweight, easy to put into the car/van, and is very maneuverable - she can "turn on a dime". I can't believe that Amazon can sell her at such an affordable price - she is obviously a high class item. And with free shipping! I found her a little stiff to fold up at first, but some WD-40 helped with that. My family agrees: this is one of the very best investments I've ever made!!

Perfect rollator
Perfect rollator, with great wheels, handles, brakes, seat, and storage compartment. Oh yeah: it looks great, too, and weighs very little.

Highly recommend!
Fantastic quality, sturdy, handy. Highly recommend! Increases independence and makes a nice spot to elevate feet when sitting in recliner. Helpful to move items from one place to another, like a plate of just-cooked food from the counter/stove to the kitchen table.

A great buy if you want a zippy lightweight rollator walker!
This 14lb Drive Medical Aluminum (DMA) rollator is probably the best buy for a lightweight rollator walker you’re gonna find anywhere. At $90 it compares most favorably to Drive’s top-of-the-line Aero Ultra Light walker, which goes for $300 and is actually 1/2lb heavier. Also many of the $600 to $700 carbon fibre walkers are also in the 13-14lb range. So anything in that weight range that sells below $100 is a bargain! This DMA rollator is an older style in that it folds from front- to-back instead of side-to-side like the newer ones do. ~But IMO this is actually an advantage as it allows a larger 14x12” nicely padded firm seat instead of those awful canvas slung seats the newer styled ones have! And it also has a decent storage area under it’s seat, which at a full 23” above the ground is easier to sit down and rise up from. (Although shorter legged folks might find this to be a bit uncomfortable for them?) Also there’s no fold-up lock, so while it’s very easy to get this walker in and out of a car it does tend to open up on you if you’re not careful when carrying it. I think an inexpensive Velcro strap might well solve this problem. This DMA rollator rolls great on it’s 7.5” wheels. Indeed it’s really quite zippy, so you have to be aware of this and not let it get away from you... The brakes work good as does the brake lock, and the brake shoes are strong metal bars instead of more easily worn down plastic. The handle bar grips are just meh, ~coming in a hard pebble grained black plastic. But they’re formed right and comfortable enough, so they do the job okay. So that’s it. Where I did return a more expensive modern side-to-side folding roIlator I found uncomfortable, I’m keeping this and am glad I bought it… ADDL: When I first got this it had sort of a not-exactly-smooth, slightly jiggerly ride even on my smooth apt floor, and I just accepted it as not worth fussing about.... But after being pushed around a few times on some outside street terrain {concrete and rough tarmac} it now glides as smooth as glass indoors. I suspect one of the tires had a small production flaw, a bubble or a blip, and wheeling it around outside naturally shaped that tire into a more perfect round. ~LOL! ~And this has now made the walker even more enjoyable to use... Tuve que aceitar los rodamientos de las ruedas. Se encontraban oxidados. En general la calidad del producto es buena. El tamaño de las ruedas facilita desplazarse.

The rollatorv was too big to use in my bungalow, however I found it nice and sturdy to use when going for a walk. Therefore, we decided not to return it. I found it difficult to fold and too heavy to get on the bus, but I am pleased to have it as enables me to go out.

Brilliant, very well made and has assisted my elderly mother fantastically. Easy enough to use and the fact it can double as a seat when she needs a little rest is amazing.
