I bought this for the pattern, I'll admit that. I didn't really read the description, I didn't care. I care a little bit now although I don't think the description would have helped. This isn't so much velvet, or even velour, it's "sticky". It's a very short pile, the hand feel is okay in one direction. In the reverse it's non-existent. You really can't run your hand in the reverse it just kinda sticks and feels really yucky. If you have any sensory issues this is nightmare fuel.That said, it's a very nice large size. The print is crisp, the colors are vibrant. What you see on the screen is what will show up and that's not always the case. The photos on this one are very true to life. The little bag it comes with is a good size. I have a couple smaller tarot decks that would fit but I personally wouldn't use it for that because of the hand feel. I'm going to use it for runes which can just be dropped in and out.If you like to lay out crystals then this is a good choice for that. They're not going to slide around and given the way I work, and the space I work in, this is a selling point. I really hate the way this feels, but honestly, I'd probably buy this again even knowing that. I wouldn't buy the other two patterns, but for this one it's worth it.
