A Culinary Adventure in the Old West! 5/5 Stars
Just received my copy of The Unofficial Yellowstone Cookbook and it's like opening a treasure chest of culinary delights! Full disclosure—I haven't seen a single episode of Yellowstone, though that hasn't diminished my excitement one bit. This cookbook stands on its own with its range of tempting recipes that make you want to don an apron and yell, "Yeehaw!"I was initially drawn in by the promise of Jackie Alpers's award-winning photography and, wow, does it deliver. Each recipe is paired with a stunning photograph that is so rich and evocative, you can almost smell the smoky aroma of grilled steak right off the page. It's this visual feast that has me marking recipe after recipe to try. From hearty breakfasts to satisfyingly meaty dinners, there's something that beckons to the cowboy spirit I never knew I had.As I plan my culinary journey through this book, I'm genuinely thrilled about the prospect of trying out dishes like Beth's Breakfast Smoothie for a kickstart in the morning or tackling the Meaner Than Evil Barbecue Hot Wings for a weekend feast. And while I'm not familiar with the characters, the personality-infused recipes like Cake with Steak promise a whole lot of character and flavor. The cookbook is more than just a collection of recipes—it's a trip to the wild, open ranges of Montana and Texas with every meal. Whether you're a die-hard Yellowstone fan or a foodie looking for some fire-grilled inspiration, this book seems like it's going to be a lot of fun. I can't wait to tie on my apron and get cooking!

Beautiful, fun and useful cookbook
We received our copy of the Unofficial Yellowstone Cookbook about a week ago and, as usual, Jackie did not disappoint. This book is filled with beautiful photography and useful recipes that are easy to follow and prepare. We made the Hassleback Sweet Potatoes on the first night and they came out just like the photo and were delicious. We have several other recipes earmarked for future grocery runs. Big Sky Country Cinnamon Roll will be next. Thanks Jackie. Nice work.

A Great Cookbook and a Fun Read!
This book is filled with a ton of great recipes that range from simple biscuits to mountain oysters to a triple chocolate flourless cake. Home cooks will want to try all of them. Fans of the show will enjoy the side stories. And Alpers' pics are so gorgeous, you can almost taste the food.I know what I'm getting everybody for Christmas this year.

An Awesome Gift Idea
I received this book today and flipped through the pages, not expecting to be so enchanted with the beautiful photographs. I love when a cookbook shows you what the end result should look like. Plus, there are little cooking hints throughout. While I'm not a huge Yellowstone fan, I love history and there's a story being told in this book.Plus, it's super affordable, you'd think hard cover books of this quality would be double the price. You might as well order 2, because you'll definitely want to gift one. I'm now going to order my second one.

Beautiful book! Hearty recipes, wonderful photography! The spine could be a little bit more solid, the pages are nice & heavy, have to wait & see if the spine holds up. Great gift for Yellowstone fans!

Another fabulous addition to my cookbook collection
I’ve been looking forward to receiving this cookbook which I ordered as soon as I learned it would be available. I’d previously bought Jackie’s other cookbook, Taste of Tucson, and I was excited to see what thiscreative and interesting author had in store for us this time.I enjoy Jackie’s books because of their ability to take me on a journey through parts of the US that many of us know little about, and as with any good cookbook, the recipes are about so much more than just the food. You don’t need to have watched the series, Yellowstone, that this book is based on to appreciate it, and so far although I’m excited to make all kinds of delicious food from the recipes, you can also sit with this, as I did, and enjoy reading it from cover to cover. We’ve already got a list of recipes we’re looking forward to trying, and maybe a couple we’ll appreciate just learning about. If you don’t know what Mountain Oysters are, buy the book, and let it transport you to places you may never get to except though the eyes of this talented author as she takes you on another fascinating culinary journey.
