Well constructed, easy to use, and THEY WORK!!! I tried them on an old pair of leather deck shoes and absolutely loved the results. As I age I've been developing worsening hammer toes which cause toe knuckles to rub against the top of the shoe box. FIXED! Done. I'm working my way through all my shoes and boots now. I use the spray, too, and get the results in less than 48 hours.

Simple instructions, easy to use. Stretched women's 11 wide to extra wide. although 24 hr. was recommended 72 hrs. gave the comfort I needed. It does stretch both length and width, but you can do either alone. The pressure plugs snap in/out easily, the wood is smooth and sturdy. Do resist over tightening.

I wear size 8-1/2 wide but got the large size unit... glad I did as I had to open it up quite a bit to get the stretch I needed. When I opened it up to stretch my shoes a part of the mechanism came out of the hole it is seated in. I did not realize this initially but later saw it and made sure when stretching that the metal part stayed in the hole. Had to alternate wearing the shoe and stretching several times before the shoe became comfortable. Took about 2-3 weeks... wearing the shoe on and off a couple times during the week for an hour or two. Worked great in the end... glad I got this

This product is great. I used it on a couple of pairs of suede heels that I had ordered online. They were my normal shoe size, but they were too tight just around the toes. This stretcher is a very durable plastic that widens as you turn the knob. It also comes with little pieces to add to the sides of the shoe that give it more of a rounded foot shape. I only wish the knob had numbers or indicators that let me know exactly how wide I was stretching the shoe. It was hard to tell how wide I was making the stretcher. There were times when I was feeling a lot of resistance from the shoe and I was afraid to stretch too far. So I did a little at a time and let them sit for a couple days at a time removing the stretcher occasionally to see if the shoes fit yet. I also found it difficult to tell if I was stretching both shoes to the same width. Numbers indicating how wide I was stretching the shoe would have been really helpful. I was still able to successfully stretch my shoes, it just took some getting used to.All in all, I am happy with this purchase; it is affordable, sturdy, and I can use it on future uncomfortable shoes!

Unless you buy the truly professional Foot Fitter now retailing at over $60 each, these are an acceptable alternative EXCEPT they'll fail on you if don't fix the flaw. Stretchers are designed to both lengthen and widen. The center shaft widens, the outer shaft pushes against the base of the toe unit to lengthen. This is the flaw--the washer between the shaft and the foot is both too small and too thin. Pressure on the washer causes is to bend and chew up the wood. It must be replaced, which fortunately is easy to do. A screw on the side separates the parts. You will need to gently remove the small washer at the tip to remove the plug. Gently pinch the tip with a small pliers until you can easily remove the small washer. (When done you should replace that washer too with a sturdier one.) Remove the old washer and replace it with a larger sturdier fender washer, restore the unit and gently spread the tip out to hold the small washer. Put it all back together and you've got a stretcher that will hold and last much longer. Good luck! Note: this is a cheap fix. Would that the manufacturer did it for you.

Doesn’t stretch the length

My feet are different sizes and I have a high arch in one foot so getting shoes to fit is so frustrating. This has a real game changer. Not sure how to use the stand but I just lean them on the wall. Only takes a day and I get exactly what I need to fit my feet! You will not be disappointed

The item works very satisfactorily. Although the spacer washer needs to be a lot larger.

Excellent! Shoes I could not get my foot into now fit perfectly. Used together with stretch spray.

I have tried them and worked as they say it does. Love it as they are reinforced (steel Collar) to avoid splitting at the rear. As they are slim it could do womens shoes as well as mens. - Glad i Bought them & believe to be good value.

Work well on heels. No shoehorn or storage bag sent, though.
