Shiny Self-Inking Rubber Date Stamp - S-300 - RED Ink (42510-R)

Unfortunately the item is advertised wrongly ... it does not have date month year format which is required in aviation and military work and forms -- but they send you the month date year format -- total false advertising ...

Dates were current; I ordered it in 2017 and the dates were from 2017 to 2028.The stamp never dries out but it does start running out of ink.I recommend locking the stamp in place so it doesn't create a permanent indentation in the stamp pad along with scraping gunk off and re-inking the stamp pad every so often (depends on how often you use it).How you lock the stamp in place is by pressing the stamp down while simultaneously pushing in the 2 red buttons on the side.The stamp is smaller than normal librarian/document stamp. it's approximately 3/4th of an inch long (stamped down).I use it for stamping dates on my notes, sketchbook, on the back of finished drawings, journal entries, and when I received books/notebooks and finished them.

I bought this in April 2019. I agree that the stamp pad indentation prevents a complete imprint. If you allow the stamper and stamp pad to connect while not in use, it will cause this indentation. However I just discovered that there are buttons on each side and if you press these two buttons it will hold the mechanism in a rested position away from the pad. This year after being stored away over a year, I found the pad to be dry and with this aforementioned indentation. Since I know it has not been used enough to be out of ink, I pulled the stamp pad out of the tray and used a dropper to add 15 or 20 drops of alcohol in the depression and now it is like new!*Not sure what the "sheerness" rating is about. I wonder if it should be SHINY.

The one I received was not as advertised. I wanted on that lists the DAY date first then the month then the year. That is the format that was advertised. What I received was not this format. I will not order from this supplier again.

I use date stamps all the time in my teaching to mark the date work is received from a student. I need something that stands up to lots of use! I like the size of this stamp. I was disappointed in the quality of the print. The "new" device did not stamp the complete date clearly. Letters in the month are unclear. Numbers were clearer. Additionally, the little wheels the user has to turn to change the date are so small that I find it impossible to change the date--something I do daily--without getting ink on my fingers. Just a heads up!

I wasn't sure which years were included on the stamp but I took a chance and I am glad that I did. It is for the years 2012 to 2023. Since it is self-inking, you have to hold it in your hands and press the top of the stamp (as if you were stamping something) so it rotates and shows you what will be stamped. You then scroll the month, days and years to set it to the correct date. Because it is so small it is a little messy to set but it is worth a little ink on your fingers. The size of the print is a little less than an inch wide and a quarter inch tall. The resolution of the print is perfect. It works very well.

Stamps a date with a 3 letter month, 2 digit day, and 4 digit year. Many years and even has some other symbols on the stamper. Works well & easily. I have not tried to replenish the ink yet but it hasn't needed it yet either.**** January 2016 *** ok - I purchased this on September 26, 2015. Lets say it arrived the next day. I do only use it at work so that's only 4 days per week for 16 weeks = 64 days of use. I MIGHT use it 10 x per day on a heavy day so that'd be 640 stamps..... and I'm out of ink. I like the stamp enough that I'm going to try to refill it but the "thousands of stamps" before needed to refill is quite an exaggeration.

This date stamper gets the job done. It’s tiny. I expected something larger like the one I was replacing. It came with no instructions, which was irritating. To set the date, you have to compress the stamper and rotate the tiny nubs to the correct date, in reverse/upside down. It comes with a small ink tray that works fine once inserted properly.
