I have a backpack with an interface like this for USB-A and loved it so I searched for a "c" version. I was excited when I found this. When it arrived, I plugged it into my portable battery and then connected my ipad cable to it which is connected to my ipad. It did not lite up. Connected my ipad directly to the battery and that worked. I tried many different combinations of cables and devices with this device and it still did not work. Thinking it was defective, I sent off for an exchange. Unfortunately, the newly exchanged cable is doing the same thing. Just will not allow a charge to pass through to the device. This cable passes only the voltage where some devices and power sources (power banks) need also the data wires to verify your device before it will charge. I am keeping one of them just for the cap and will purchase a "USB-C 1.5 foot extension cable" where I will use hot glue to recreate the side that goes into that cap. Great idea, need better cable.

The USB c cable doesn't work at all, no power or data. The fit is nice so if you can find a cable that works that would be great but at this price for just the cap it isn't worth it.

The cable that is included doesn’t charge with a portable battery pack useless. What’s the point if the cable doesn’t work with a portable power bank and this is the intended purpose for this item. Thumbs down
