I really liked this product. It looks like it will last several years and it gets the job done as it should. Be careful your shoes may be too big for you if you leave the stretcher on for too long.

I needed to stretch my leather pumps I bought for work. I put a leather conditioner on and cranked 3 times, waited 24hrs and no change. So the 2nd time I cranked a few times more and expanded the width and now it's perfect!

I wanted to stretch the toe area on right tennis shoes because I have a bunion. It worked fine, but will put a small crease at stretch site. I didn’t care. I put the black bunion piece on. You don’t need to insert one on each side of shoe stretcher. Make sure you have piece that goes in back of you shoe inserted correctly before turning knob on stretcher to open it up while inside your shoe. I left the stretcher in my shoe for 2 days. You may not need that long. My tennis shoes were very stiff. I sized up it didn’t help. Loved the tennis shoes so bought the stretcher. This model is not made for boots. Worked out perfectly Shoes feel great.
