I'm 5' 9" plus a bit, with a 32" inseam, and these are a nice fit (size medium). I haven't washed them yet, but don't expect them to shrink much. There's a bit of room for shrinkage though, as the length is a bit on the longer side.

I found the size chart to be very accurate. I would think a 5'3" 120lb female would have a pretty small waist.
