Love the 3D aspect
The wife and I love to play escape room board games and this one turned out to be one of our favorites. It is long. We had to play it over a stretch of three days, but that's what games are for...entertainment. The puzzles are clever and challenging without being impossible. We really enjoyed building the castle as we went and the three dimensional aspect of the game made it different from your standard escape room games. The only thing that we didn't like, and it is a minor point, is having to "scratch off" the solutions and hints. The little silver scrapings made a mess. Other than that, would highly recommend this game to everyone from novices to experts. It's hours of brain challenging fun.

Bigger and better than expected!
We've just finished our play through, 2 sessions, both around 90 minutes in length. We LOVED It. Curse of the dark perfectly straddles Escape Room games and "draw a numbered card" type adventure games. Puzzles were challenging and fun, and the production quality is high. Highly recommended and would even gift this to friends. Do take note that you will likely destroy game materials as you solve puzzles. Fantastic value for money especially given how big the box is. We're already teeing up buying other games from this business.

Brilliant
Great game bought several for people at Christmas. Our one was missing the red stain glass window which was disappointing. But great puzzle.

Very Stupid
The escape room starts somewhat strong with a clear story and puzzles that can be followed without hints. At the end of the first half, both go downhill. The puzzles and story are difficult to follow. We couldn't keep track of which room we were supposed to be in, and for almost every puzzle we needed to get some sort of hint. Frequently we found that the hints were telling us to do things we had already done, and we were unable to convert those actions into an actual answer. Normally we keep our escape rooms after we play it, but this went straight into the trash.
