No, to me it isn’t itchy. I have sensitive skin, and it doesn’t cause itching. On the other hand it is not velvety in its texture. There is a direction to the weave, but when you run your hand in the direction of the nap, it is fairly smooth. Against the “grain” it’s about as rough as a slightly scratchy towel. Hope this helps.

Q: Where are these rugs made?

Mine was made in Turkey. It’s such a pretty rug. I purchased mine in December 2015 and it still looks great. The color has not faded, it’s easy to keep clean and just as easy to spot clean. The rug is in a high traffic area and I have 4 cats. It’s held up so nicely.

Q: How does it come shipped?

Q: Not a fan of fringe. Can it be removed ?

It's tied directly to the foundation so it's not recommended to cut since it can begin to unravel the rug completely over time. We suggest rolling it under and taping it to the backside if not favored.
