Uni Alpha-Gel Jetstream 0.7 mm Ball Point Pen, Silver Body, Black Ink (SXN1000071P26)

I love uniball pens and recently tried their Jetstream line. While I love the smoothness and quick dry time of the ballpoint, the original jetstream has a hard plastic body that starts to hurt my fingers after writing for a while. That's not the pen's fault, it's just my older joints aren't what they used to be. That's when I heard that Uniball made the Uni Alpha Gel Jetstream, that incorporates an ergonomic gel grip with the same great ink formula. This doesn't seem to be something that you can buy in stores, at least not in the US. (The packaging is in Japanese so I'm just making an assumption). So I was happy to see Amazon carried it and decided to give it a try. I am so happy with this pen. The painful grip issue is completely fixed with this gel grip design. The grip is soft as a gummi bear and just as nice to touch. The body is also metal, making it much sturdier than the old plastic body design. It is a little heavier than the original Jetstream, but not by much. I don't find it bothersome with long writing sessions at all. If you aren't a ballpoint pen fan I have good news! This pen can seamlessly use a Uniball Zento refill for all the gel pen lovers out there. (The pen is 0.7mm pen tip size in case you were wondering.) This is truly a great pen, versatile enough to use other refills, easy to hold and comfortable enough to use for hours of note taking. I also really appreciate the way the pen's designed, it's stylish and smart looking for any setting. It comes in other colors too if silver/white isn't your style. I'm ordering another one right now, because I want an entire pen cup full of these pens!

If you’re a lefty and looking for a great pen, this one is probably it. Comfortable to hold, smooth writing and quick drying. I bought two of these and guard them like my life depends on it. As us lefty’s know finding the right pen is hard. It’s one of those things where I hope they never quick making them because I don’t want to have to spend hundreds of dollars on pens to find the one that works.

Absolutely love this pen. Have purchased the refills of 0.5 mm of Energel and they work great in this pen. It is so comfortable to write with, especially with arthritis. Very easy to hold without it slipping since I don't have a great grip.

This pen is nice. Feels like a ballpoint as the ink is not think. Nice comfort for the round barrel. Overall nice pen.

easy grip for arthritic hands. nice clean line, smooth ink, no clogging. proper drag, not too slippery, not too draggy, easy to write page after page without hating your pen.

Comfortable, lightweight, ink isnt as pigmented as I've had with other pens but quality of ink is satisfactory especially in light of how it excels in all other areas. I write pages of notes while studying and this pen saves my hand.

Google AI had a lot of nice things to say about this pen, so that is why I chose it. I am not impressed. It functions fine, but it is just ordinary. Not particularly smooth. Not particularly comfortable for me, because I would prefer a narrower barrel. The ink is okay, but not as dark as some others. On a positive note, it did not smear.

This is the smoothest ballpoint pen that I have ever used, and the line quality is great. I bought this specifically because it looked nice, and the gel grip is a plus for comfort.
