Bought this for my XLR / USB mic and the difference was HUGE given the fact it's the same mic, i would 100% invest on XLR mics more in the future now. Amaizng Product.

I’ve been using the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen exclusively for podcasting and voice-over work, and it’s been outstanding. The audio quality is crisp and clean right out of the box—thanks to the ultra-low-noise preamp and that brilliant “Air” mode, which adds just the right amount of brightness and clarity to vocals. It pairs perfectly with my dynamic RODE PodMic, and even without a Cloudlifter, the gain is more than enough for spoken word. Setup was so simple, just plug it in via USB-C, and everything worked smoothly with Audacity, and Camtasia. The build is rock solid, and I love how compact it is on my desk. For podcasting and voice-over work, the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen is excellent, but it’s important to know how it differs from the Focusrite 2i2 in terms of features: 1. The Solo includes the same high-quality mic preamp and “Air” mode that helps vocals sound bright and professional, but it lacks a few of the more advanced features found in the 2i2: 2. There’s no Auto Gain or Clip Safe, which means you have to manually set levels and be cautious of sudden loud peaks that could cause distortion. 3. The Solo has just one XLR mic input, so it’s ideal for solo recording but not suitable if you plan to record a guest or co-host at the same time. 4. It also offers slightly less gain, which may be noticeable if you’re using a lower-output dynamic microphone and don’t have a gain booster like a Cloudlifter. 5. The Focusrite Scarlett Solo desktop software is quite minimal compared to the 2i2 and has far less control. Final Verdict: This is a great product, but looking back I would have spent a little more and bought the Focusrite 2i2.
