Outstanding but pricey. Biggest hit at Christmas.
Price is a bit steep for a 1 shot deal but, really worth it. Was a big hit at Christmas. Grandson really believes he created a Shark Monster. Siren going off scared him and his little Sister and made rest of family laugh. You can redo it again, just minus the add in's on top. We told him he has to re-charge it once a week. Still doing it. Con: Wish you could just buy another figure set instead of a whole other big Beast Master. The refill kit is OK for more playablility. But need more figures. Overall, very happy and well worth it.

Fun
This was fun and my kid loved it but the smoke smells kinda funky still 10/10 recommend. We had a blast doing this!

One Te
It’s great! One time use though. After that maybe you could use it for science projects

Our’s was a disappointment unfortunately 😔
This was my son’s big Santa gift, and it came with part of the liquid in the chamber already gone (it leaked really badly) and so he saw the Shark toy was already made inside (that was part of the big selling point too, which shark would your pandemonium crystal give you) and he saw it as soon as the box was opened up and it was taken out. Then the steam/smoke feature, or whatever it was supposed to do along with the reveal of the shark didn’t work for us. So I am really not sure why it required 6 double AA batteries in the base, if it was just for the sound effects and light on the finger scanner that was a waste of batteries, especially if it is made not to be reused. It was pretty disappointing and definitely, in my opinion, not worth the cost; now, had it worked and been able to reuse the lab, then absolutely! The shark toy that came out of it is good quality, but the lab had to be thrown out with new brand new batteries I had just put in it, because it wouldn’t stop leaking. I kept it in the sink for 48 hours to let it try and stop, but it didn’t and was yet another big let down for my son’s biggest gift from Santa. While it was a bummer to have do do so, it seemed like the only option as it continued leaking fluorescent green liquid out of it. So, we decided that it couldn’t be kept either because it was not something that probably needed to be leaking and being handled by kids. Not sure if it’s designed to be a one time use, but it didn’t seem like it as it had the option to refill and I believe purchase more? Not sure about that to be fair. I would advise against this purchase as it was a big let down, unless we had a faulty product for some reason? I ordered it from Amazon during Black Friday deals and shopping so it’s entirely possible that something was damaged in the shipping and handling part of our experience. I followed all box handling instructions as well as the step by step instructions for the making of the monster. So I know it wasn’t operator error. Overall I am just disappointed and unimpressed for both my son and myself, and would caution you to read the reviews if you’re considering this purchase. Cool idea, just seems like they’re still working through some of the logistics at this particular point in time. Santa will do better research next year. 🙁

Younger children need adult help
We bought 3 of these for our young grandsons ages 7, 5, 2 years, each receiving a different beast. Of course the younger ones wanted the same thing as the older boy. After they opened their Christmas presents, we all watched and helped them proceed with their experiments for their Beast Labs. Their father read the directions to every, but even he missed the step of pouring water into the container to start the experiment. Each child needed an adult to assist them for each step of the experiment, and we all were a bit confused by the many steps. We spent a fortune on batteries required for each toy since they were not included. The smoke and sounds were impressive as the experiment progressed, and the revealing of each beast was the best part for the children. We bought the shark, cat, and dinosaur, and they were all very well made with articulated joints in the arms, legs, head, and the cat's waist was movable. They loved the weapons that came with each beast. The grandsons loved the figures and enjoyed playing with them, having them fight each other. They even slept with the figures. I think the experiment itself is very complicated and difficult for children under the age of 12. An adult's assistance is needed for younger, but that can be a good thing for parent-child interaction. I think for the price, supplies for at least 5 experiments should be provided since the first time doing the experiment is not enough for all the steps to be followed correctly. Doing it a few times would foster familiarity with the experiment and better understanding. Luckily I purchased refill kits for each child so they can do it again and probably use any figure that would fit in the large experiment flask to reveal a surprise. Since there were only supplies for one experiment, I think it is overpriced.

Young Scientists Experiment
My 6 year old son actually requested this for his 6th birthday and we finally bought it for him. He said he wanted to experiment beast lab, so his dad and him worked on it and he was so excited. Great experience for kids who are interested in science. Following the instructions and the green liquid slowly disappeared. It’s a little expensive but worth it for the experience.

Waste of money
I give it a "5" star for how much my son loves it. However, if I would have known it was a one shot deal I would not have paid 65$ for it. Also, when it came, the rotten milk was not all the way to the top, and you could see the shark figure in it. I was hopeful that they sold refill packs separately with the other toys but I have yet to find one. It really is a waste of money unfortunately.

This comes with two sets of refills for your beastlab and includes a sword for the beast toy which we did not realize until after buying. That was a cool surprise. Good value for money.

I enjoyed this almost as much as the kids did. And you can reuse it! Kids still play with it even after the goo was drained. It still makes sounds and is just a super cool toy. The Beast also makes sounds and lights up. Worth it :) kids are only little for so long, this brought a lot of joy to our Christmas.
