Hi, first they are only covers for the pillow inserts I had already. Great quality and they can be used for anything. I would probably get the18" or 20" for the yoga mats.

The fabric is somewhere between corduroy and chennille in appearance. They are very soft and nicely made. I like these pillow covers very much.
