Blackspur BB-UK101 Meter Box Key Set

Arrived as 2 keys which look to be made from steel on a card but unfortunately no instructions whatsoever. However through trial and error I managed to work it out.(1) Remove the keys from the card with a sharp implement being careful to avoid stabbing yorself.(2) Take the key to your electricity and/or gas box.(3) Now here is where it is easy to go wrong: Hold the key by the butterfly end. If you hold the triangular end it wont work.(4) Now push the triangular end into the hole in you electricity and/or gas box and push the triangular end into the hole and slowly spin it until you feel some resistance.(5) Now turn the key either anti-clockwise or clockwise until the box magically opens. Now read your meter.(6) To close the meter repeat (4) in reverse.Overall, excellent quality which should last a few lifetimes but let down by the lack of instructions!

Very nice and sturdy keys, very reasonably priced and excellent value for money. Prior to ordering this, I had bought a plastic key in a fancy box from the local supermarket that cost more than these 2 keys combined, and that got damaged in the first use itself, as the plastic could not take the pressure of trying to open a rather rusty electricity meter box lock. But these metal keys are strong and well built and should last a long time.

The inconvenience of misplacing my meter key meant that I could neither read the Electric or the Gas meter, so I was pleased to find these repacement keys for a bargain price, good fit & very sturdy just then job

Both left key and right key work perfectly, a great improvement on trying to turn the bolt with a pair of pliers. v It is great having a two pack as I can now open my gas and electricity meter boxes at exactly the same time, saving seconds of time. Remember the quicker you open your meter the lower the reading, so is austere times having two keys is essential.Suggestions for improvement? I'd like to be able to buy mixed sets of these, for example a left and right handed version would be perfect for simultaneous operation by one person, or make it easier for a left handed spouse to have their own key...infact why not do a set with a ladies key and a gentleman's key, this would help avoid cross contamination of hand-bourne dieases across our relationship.

Needed to open meter box to take meter reading, but had no key. While I was tempted to take a hammer to the box and negate the need to buy a key, my partner suggested that we instead purchase one on Amazon.Unfortunately, single keys were expensive and would not be delivered by Prime.While I was tempted to initiate hammer time on the meter box once again, I refrained and found this set of two meter keys. The manufacturer obviously knows their market and expects us plebians to need a spare key.It arrived sometime after and it opened the meter box with no issue. I didn't find any unicorns inside, but at least my gas bill is accurate and British Gas aren't ripping me off even more on estimated bills.5/5: stops thieving​ energy companies from ripping you off.

il prodotto di per sè è valido nel senso che la qualità costruttiva è buona.il problema è che il triangolo è troppo grande e non entra nella circonferenza dello sportello dove è posizionato il meccanismo per l'apertura.proverò a limarlo un po' per vedere se riesco ad utilizzarlo.
