Dear Maria, The SmartGen HGM6120 model has not been manufactured anymore for last few years . It was officially replaced by the HGM6120N model having same price, dimensions and features, but newer front side design and some additional settings.

Q: my smart gen is fault with when put in auto the generator start up for 2 seconds and stop and start again

You should check device error messages to clarify the issue.

Q: what generators will this work with?

This controller is compatible with any gensets having engines without j1939 canbus interface.
