ALTRAWomen's TIMP 4 Trail Running Shoe

Just wish they lasted longer! Fits perfect (to size), super comfy & not too ugly like other running shoe options. However, they just do not last more than a 9 mo to a year (tops!). I run between 5-15 miles a week. I have to replace these often. They are $$ to be replacing that often which is a bummer, but I just love these shoes. I have tried other Altras and this has a bit more cushion than the Peaks or whatever they are called, which is very nice on rocks, roots, etc. Just wish their road shoes were better and wish they held up better.

Most comfortable trail shoe I have had! Nice cushioning and wide toe box. Do not care for stiff tongue-and unfortunately these shoes just do not hold up. After just one week the sides started to wear. Love the Altras but they need to make better quality running/walking shoes that can stand up to trail and road!

I've been looking for a replacement for my AHNU sneaker ever since Keen bought AHNU out and scrimped/changed and ruined the best shoe I ha found. (thanks Keen--not!) ALTRA Women's AL0A548C TIMP 4 Trail Running Shoe is a great replacement. I use these sneakers for walking/hiking. They are super comfy, with a wide toe box, great gripping on loose trails, and minimal arch which is what I need. They are beautiful too in a wide array of colors.

Feels good for running. I buy Altra Timps because they feel so good even though the top wears out faster than it should.

This shoe fits my foot well - I have a very wide ball of the foot with bunion-shaped big toe joints but my heel is slim. I am technically a 7.5 women's but because of my foot shape, often have to buy an 8 and try to deal with the extra length. This shoes fits spot on.It's very springy and comfy EXCEPT for the tongue which as some others have mentioned, is super annoying - instead of having a soft cushioned edge profile, it has a thin sharp and stiff edge that goes too far out and if you wear thin socks or foot social it cuts your ankle. I cut the edge off as much as I could but I do not expect to have to do that on a $115 + shoe!! It is ok now, still not great, but I can use them

I love this product for hiking, walking and as an every day shoe. Mostly the comfort.

Have nerve damage in my toes, so the wide toe box give my toes movement! So comfortable!!So well made also!

Comodissime già appena indossate. Le ho prese perché ho bisogno di spazio extra sull'alluce: in questo modello ce n'è in abbondanza, si riesce ad allargare bene le dita durante la camminata. Il "carrarmato" sotto la suola ha un'ottima presa sul terreno anche bagnato.Sono scarpe leggere, perfette per l'estate: non sono impermeabili, ma si asciugano molto rapidamente. Ho fatto una camminata di 10 km prendendo pioggia e grandine e si sono asciugate perfettamente in 15 minuti (sia scarpe che calzini).Ho visto che altre recensioni nominano un problema con la linguetta posteriore che taglia: nel mio caso non l'ho riscontrato, anzi, la linguetta è morbida ed elastica, permette di indossare la scarpa senza slacciare e allacciare ogni volta.

Really comfortable - a bit more arch support would have been better for my feet but I put in an insert and they are better but still notice it. While they have a nice wide toe box, I wish there was more room for toes up and down movement. I can feel my toes against the top of the shoe. So 4 stars instead of five for that reason, but a good shoe for sure. Fit as expected. Nice to walk in!

So comfortable! The toe box is wide as you’d expect from altra. Material is flexible and the cushioning, although plush, is not too squishy . Great grip, hold the foot well, although narrow feet might struggle to get a good fit. Used straight out the box with no issues on a walk through the fields. Love the orange colour! Ordered a half size larger than normal for extra comfort and to allow for possible swelling and yet no slip on the heel at all. Lovely!

Für Menschen mit breitem Vorfuss, Hallux Rigidus / Hallux Valgus, die auf der Suche nach einem geeigneten Schuh für Speed-Hiking, Trailrunning und (Extrem-) Wandern oder auch die tägliche Gassi-Runde sind, kann ich dieses Modell wärmstens empfehlen!+ gute Dämpfung,+ Zerodrop, also 0 mm Sprenung, d.h. wie beim Barfuss-Gehen sind Ferse und Zehenballen auf der selben Höhe - optimal für ein schmerzfreies, ermüdungsarmes Laufen,+ Dämpfung und genug Platz in der Zehenbox für Hallux Valgus / Hallux Rigidus,+ die Einlegesohlen sind austauschbar gegen (Orthopädische) Einlagen,+ weiter und dennoch gut anpassbarer Vorfußbereich,+ beste Schnürmöglichkeiten, um unterschiedliche Zonen (Vor-, Mittelfuß- und Fersenbereich) unterschiedlich fest zu schnüren,+ vorbereitete Befestigungsmöglichkeiten für dieKurzgamaschen des Herstellers (wer hat schon gerne Steinchen im Schuh?) - "S" passt bei 38,5; 39 & 39,5 perfekt+ keine "wasserdichte" Membran: Der Fuss wird u.U. schnell nass, jedoch auch genauso schnell wieder trocken und+ hoch atmungsaktiv.Mein Fazit:Etwa 400 km hat der Schuh jetzt in den Sohlen und ich bin sicher, die Dämpfung und der Aufbau - insbesondere die breite Zehenbox - haben erheblich dazu beigetragen, dass ich bequem jeden Kilometer mit meiner Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit von 6,2 km/h gehen kann.In Kombination mit den Gaitors von Altra, ist er einfach für meinen Fuß perfekt.Ich trage 37 1/3, bei diesem Schuh ist 38,5 wie für mich gemacht; für den Winter überlege ich, auf eine 39 umzusteigen, um dann dickere Socken tragen zu können. Aber da spreche ich von Temperaturen ab < -8°C.Schuhempfehlungen sind immer so eine Sache, aber für Menschen mit Sport- (orthopädischen) Einlagen, Hallux Valgus und Hallux Rigidus und jene, die sonst auch viel barfuss laufen, bzw. Schuhe ohne Absatz tragen: Schaut euch diesen Schuh unbedingt an!Gern gebe ich hier fünf von fünf Sternchen - weil dieser Schuh einfach genial ist. So leicht, wie er ist, so leicht läuft es sich in dem!

Love them . Great for hiking on the cliff paths . Lots of room at the front to spread my toes & great to let my feet breathe .
