I've used for a our doorway between the dining room and hall were the floor level is 2cm higher and so far it's done the job well, but with additional help. As it comes rolled up it takes a bit of time and patience to flatten it out, I did this using a hair dryer on it's lowest setting, this was enough to warm the material which made it a lot easer to flatten. I also used additional 3M double sided adhesive tape as what comes with this is not strong enough, a shame really and the only reason I give 4 stars.

Strip just has a thin, peel-off type adhesive strip on the bottom/lower part. Nothing on the top part. I stuck it down and it initially looked good. It was cleaned with a damp rag prior, and left to dry. Within 24 hrs one of the ends started coming away. I stuck it back down and placed a paint tin over to help stick. A few hours later the other end started coming away. I did the same with another paint tin. After removing the tins, the strip started coming away and curling up, as per photos. I am going to have to silicone to achieve any improvement.....

This PVC transition strip by Btstil is available in three lengths – 1, 2 or 3 metres – with a height of about 20mm; it can be trimmed to size if required. The strip arrives coiled and is quite difficult to get straightened out – it won't stick properly if it is still a bit curly, and even when straight it may need some additional adhesive to keep it in place. It would be better to use on a warm day, or even heat it slightly to make it more flexible. There are eight colours to choose from and prices range from around fourteen to thirty pounds depending on size. Not bad quality for the price – it does the job OK but expect to have to put a bit of effort into getting it how you want it to look – four stars.
