These are great if you keep in mind that you will have to put strong adhesive on your product. I love them. I use it to do a triple stack laptop portable monitor setup and it works awesome. The magnets are shockingly strong and hold up a full 16 inch portable monitor. They do not sell replacement or additional metal plates. I messed up and managed to bend a plate and cannot purchase a new one unless I purchase more hinges as well. Also, considering these are magnetic, you could use them with more than one device, if they'd sell you more metal plates. Please sell me metal plates so I can actually use the product. Edit: Upon seeing my review the seller informed me that I was incorrect, as they do offer replacement plates on their website, just not on Amazon. Additionally, they sent me a kit for free even though it was my fault that I bent my plates. Customer service doesn't get much better than that.

I love using this to have my iPad as a second monitor on my MacBook Pro 16. Even installed. Second set on my personal MacBook Pro 13. This setup works so much better on a small coffee shop table than trying to have an external monitor sitting next to your laptop. I get asked about them all the time.

The product is great and does what it claims. Just a warning that the adhesive is super strong. I bought this for my MacBook Pro but after about few months of owning the rolling edge, I decided to sell my MacBook Pro back to apple. I wanted to make sure to get the best price so I wanted to remove the rolling edge. It is extremely difficult to remove the rolling edge, at the end I ended but having to buy goo gone, work gloves, and extra fishing line because the one they provide was not enough. I’m a pretty strong guy too and I work out regularly, but I had to use so much force just to get these removed even with goo gone’s help. At the end i spent close to the price of what I paid just to initially on products to just take the product off. If you even think there is a possibility of you selling your device, then don’t purchase this product.

Under normal use opening and closing the magnetic mounts both magnetic mounts broke. Clearly it was metal fatigue from the aluminum metal of the mount. I would advise against purchasing this product until the manufacturer fixes this defect. There are only two small connecting points on this mount and it appears now that after normal use over just eight or nine months, and normal use being two or three times a month, metal fatigue sets in and they break.

I really wanted to like this and really needed this to work. Unfortunately it has failed. Install was okay. I had to watch some YouTube videos on how to best do it because the instructions weren't the best. The magnets are very very strong for my tablet and so is the stickiness of the tape. And therein lies the issue. When opening my laptop just a little too much the weight of the tablet will pull the laptop backwards. I think "okay not an issue, I will just move everything down an inch or so and it will redistribute the weight s that won't happen." Unfortunately, the plates are NOT easily removed, which the videos and instruction will not lead you to believe. I used the wire that was given too me and while it's unusually long, there is a reason for that. It's because it breaks really easily. Not only that, removing everything bends the metal and you won't be able to make it flat again. And not only that, the stickiness is completely gone, so forget about trying to reapply or reposition it ever again. Once it's on, that how it stays! I think this has the potential to be a great product, but needs to be able to be reused and reapplied. If not, it clearly needs to state that that isn't an option and needs to be more clear of the issues you can have if the positioning isn't more specific. Needless to say, I just returned mine.

These were FANTASTIC at first. Relatively expensive. And the adhesive these came with was terrible (I ended up crazy gluing the conductive plates), but I absolutely loved the whole concept. Unfortunately, after about a month or so, the strength of the magnets started to diminish progressively. Now, I'm constantly readjusting to straighten the iPad attached. Seems minor, but it gets irritating after over a month of dealing with it. So unless you have enough disposable income to simply throw these away and replace them every couple months, I do not recommend purchasing. Note: In the time it took to type this, I've had to adjust the attached iPad three times.

This is sturdy in construction, high quality metal, super easy to install, performs as desired and doesn’t add or take away from the appearance of the laptop. I have it on a case and it’s holding the 12 inch iPad Pro. If it leans back too far it’ll fall over since it a lil heavy. But I use it on a desk top and don’t require it to go that far back. What’s in the photo shows how I use it. It works with a case on both the iPad and MacBook. Highly recommend. Thinking about getting another one for my phone.

The setup was easy! Very sturdy. I didn't have any issues regarding some of the other buyers had. Great adhesion, of course if you're bashful about sticking the magnets to your laptop, this probably is not for you. But, if your a designer, content creator, or someone who spends the majority of your time behind a laptop, this is absolutely a great buy!
