This is a nice, very basic book about meditation and mindfulness. There are many research-based examples of how meditation can lower stress etc., so I do believe this short book could easily inspire someone to dive more deeply into learning about mindfulness meditation and develop their own practice. I just don't believe that this book on its own would be enough to help a beginner get started. Very pleasant, easy read though.

Calm your mind- focus better and be more productive...awesome read.
I love that Steve’s books are so easy to follow. He gives real-life everyday examples on how to apply his techniques. I also appreciate the fact that he always puts a challenge out there for his readers!this book in particular helped me to understand various new techniques of mindfulness, which can be used to overcome any stress or anxiety issues. It is helping me in developing more focus on work without worryin much. Steve has put enough research work into this book and the reference material is in itself a treasure. great job. no second thought. Go for it.

Boring as hell! He shares too much about his own life. I wouldn’t recommend this book. Check it out at the library instead.

Easy to read
Pros: Easy to read. It’s okay for the beginner just getting started who is looking for general information.Cons: Very basic information. Too much time spent on why meditation works rather then explaining the different types of meditations you can use.

Overall good book.
Very informative..excellent introduction to mindfulness and meditation. I like also that it used actual studies to present the facts. Good read!
