Will it pick up hair that is left on floor after brushing? My son has a ton of hair and it's a constant battle to keep the bath floor looking clean.

I should be I have not used it on the floor.

Is this the swiffer 180? What is the name of the duster refills I will need to buy?

Yes. refills are on Amazon and are called "180 dusters refills".

Are the dusters unscented?

Yes, the Swiffer 40509 Hand Duster Kits come with unscented dusters.

how well does this work? Does it just smear dust around like typical dusters?

No, it does not just smear dust but rather traps the dust. It works quite well. Will not say that it would be as good as taking a damp cloth to wipe surfaces but I would say it is a good way of cleaning dust off of furniture on more frequent clean-ups.
