Q: Is this heat proof? Could I use it on hand painted coasters without hot drinks sticking?

Hi , I used the Minwax on a guitar I'd built , so I wasn't about to test it on that ! I used a scrap piece of wood to test the dyes and the Minwax on . This morning I used the piece of wood as a coaster to see what would happen . It didn't seem to make a mark on it so I guess the answer to your question is yes you could use it for what you want , I would however not put it on too thickly . Hope this helps .

It should work, but I suggest you make a try. You should first prepare the surface well with sandpaper.

Q: Can this be put over danish oil on an oak desk which has cured for extra protection

I’m sure it would work beautifully. I have used it on a new table and it has worked/
