Great quality, beautiful piece, and an excellent addition to my home coffee bar.

This Knock Box/Tamper Station is expensive, but worth the investment in terms of quality, usefulness, and versatility. Based on other reviews and my own experience, there are a few things that I felt came up a little short.1. The knock box sits low in the case and is inconvenient to remove. Solution: I cut a section of packing foam and placed it below the knock box. This elevates the knock box and makes it easy to remove.2. The small side drawer is perfect for filter baskets and/or puck screens, but the hard metal bottom of the drawer can be hard on both items. Solution: Cut a section of packing foam for that as well.3. I have both a double spout and a bottomless portafilter, and neither sat firmly in the filling/tamping slot. Solution: Cut a small portion of packing foam to elevate the portafilter handle if needed.4. Some portafilters sit loosely in the portafilter section. Solution: Cut 4 - 58mm circles from the packing foam and use as many as necessary for each portafilter to rest on.5. If your 58mm portafilter requires removal of the plastic insert cup, remove it. Then cut another 58mm circle from the packing foam, insert it into the cup... you now have a great place to store your tamper.If you're not obsessed with all this, just use the box as it comes and you'll be perfectly happy!

This product did not work for my Crema brand portafilter. However, the company MHW-3Bomber contacted me and solved the issue. They informed me that their product is not of fact compatible with a Crema filter and updated their description so that hopefully nobody else makes the same mistake. All of that aside// The product itself is made very well. It’s really heavy, sturdy, and great quality. I would definitely recommend it if your portafilter is compatible. Would look great in any espresso station.

This is absolutely beautiful. High quality, sturdy, level. The knockbox saves me a trip across the kitchen to the trash can and is quieter than knocking over the trash. It's elegant and holds the portafilter level. My mom came over this morning and asked me for a cup of coffee and due to its design had no idea she was playing with used espresso pucks... she thought they were carved wood and when she picked one up it immediately disintegrated in her hand and left an enormous mess across the floor! The look of total shock across her face was hilarious, she felt so silly and laughed the whole time she was sweeping up the mess she'd made. Oh how the turn tables lol.

Love that it holds my tamper, distributer and portafilter super cleanly. Looks really nice with a lot of attention to detail!

I had the original (not mhw) and we love it, when I saw this one with the rubber insert, I was intrigued. Beautiful addition to our coffee bar and the side cubby hole is nice to store some little things.
