Size makes it tough, but that's the point
The large size of this parachute makes it tough to get it all the way in the air. But there's a solution: run faster. That's the point of these things- you need to get up to x speed before the thing will go airborne, and then it provides resistance while you continue to do that.So this parachute is a step up, and is probably not a good size for a beginner. I stepped up from a smaller one, and I'm still getting used to it, but it's a great challenge and it's strengthening my running. No complaints so far.

Works as Expected
Parachute works as expected. Only downside is that if there is no wind on the day you decide to run, the resistance will be non-existent and you might not get a lot out of the chute. The wind resistance aspect is important to note because otherwise you're just doing sprints with an insignificant amount of draft being developed. Maybe if you run fast enough it will make a difference, but you have to get to that point. Run on a windy day would be my recommendation.

It works but I am disappointed in the product...
I recently received/purchased the 40" parachute, I thought it would be useful for my clients when I have them training on the beach. However, the chute strap doesn't fit the chest of most women and some men, it was a completely windy day which most would think would be perfect conditions to use such an item. It barely kept itself up while my boot campers were running with it, some even had to have a hand behind them to keep it from dragging on the sand. It did add a level of resistance but not nearly as effective as I thought it was going to be. As a result I am giving the parachute itself a C- as I will use it again and continue to use it and modify it myself to get the full use and effectiveness of the item. All in all if you're looking for something that can be used with ages 8-15 this would be perfect, anything over that age you would probably want a parachute that has a harness which will be my next purchase. The sellers of this product are top notch and I DO NOT FAULT them for what I FEEL is a failure.

Good buy for the money
Good products for the money I didn't think that the ladders would work as good being so cheap but it is really worth the money. The phone case is on could be better at going in and out the holster but at least it will not fall out like some I've seen and looked at.

I purchased this over a decade ago and the parachute still works after a ton of use!

Not a bad sprinting chute. Just doesn't offer the resistance described.
I trained with it yesterday for the first time. It inflates quite easily for me. Which is odd for a large sprint chute(72"). It doesn't seem to offer the resistance that it claims(40-50 lbs.), but it does provide resistance. I would say more like 20-25 lbs. of resistance. I have an 85" sprinting chute as well and it creates significantly more resistance. It is depicted well in the photo.

Perfect Parachute
I ordered this for my son, who is 11 years old. He is a pretty serious athlete and loves it. The only drawback is the Velcro won't allow us to make it small enough for his small waist, so we have to tie it. Would recommend it!!

Not too bad...
Overall, a very effective product for the price. Only giving it three stars because, for a formally collegiate track and field athlete, 40" gave very little resistance. It did however provide enough drag to encourage proper form in my 10 year old nephew. Bottom line, for an athletic 5'6" female that's been properly trained, a bigger chute or an ol school tire pull will be better...
