Great second entry
While the first book took its time with the mystery and horror, this one jumps right in with a cannonball. I loved it. All is not well in the big city, and things quickly go from weird to bad to worse in a hurry. Don't get attached to any characters though, you'll probably end up having to say goodbye to then. It's refreshing to read about a strong likable female character who isn't perfect but still wants to do the right thing. Disney, take note. The horror is great, the terror is great, the gore is great, the suspense is great, and the action is... you guessed it... great. A couple little editing/proofreading errors. I'd really like to know more about the villians and where they come from, so hopefully that's covered in another book. Overall an awesome book and I can't wait to read the next one!

A smash hit, read it in one setting
This was infinitely better than the first and I really-REALLY liked the first one. We got to explore more of Keri and her mind, the action was non stop, the book didn't pull any punches. The gore was fantastic. The monsters ever worse than the first one. The eldritch abominations were chefs kiss. I can't wait to read more. 10/10 recommend for anyone who likes lovecraftian horror, paranormal intrigue, and an ever thickening plot.

Break out the no-doze
Can't get into this rubbish. Can't stay awake for more than a few pages. Can't recommend this at all.
