Works for transmission fluid. Use the plastic air sprayer nozzle zip-tied into the end of one of the fluid hoses and you’re good to go. Did it on a 2011 Land Rover LR2 HSE Sport Utility 4D 3.2L gas through the transmission fluid check valve/opening and it worked reasonably well. Didn’t leak and the hoses are really convenient to attach and detach. Pulls a good amount of fluid pretty quickly. If you use it for a thicker fluid like transmission fluid be sure to keep the in/feed end higher than the out end/nozzle so that gravity helps you out. It makes it loads easier. Overall a great value for the money and got the job done. If you aren’t cheap you could buy one of the pumps specifically designed for transmission fluid or use this as intended and save yourself a decent workout, but if you care about saving money this will work without hiccups.

My powered cart has no drain port, and I was scratching the head on how to replace the oil. This pump came really handy, and worked flawlessly.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. No muss and no fuss. I’m using it to fill watering cans from our rain barrel. Highly recommended. Suggestion: Please include a mounting bracket for permanent installations. It would really help and set your product apart from all the rest.

Used the pump to pull the oil from my standby generator with no problem. Attaching the lines to the pump was easy. No complaints so far. I recommend this pump.

I was in need of this transfer pump for some differential work I was planning on, but fate had other plans and I ended up using this pump to transfer gas out of a vehicle for an in-tank fuel pump replacement. The pump worked well for my fuel project, but a week later when trying to use it for the differential project (gear oil) the pump would not work--minimal resistance and sounded like it was just huffing air back & forth. It seems as if the gas, even though the pump was rated for gas use, deteriorated the internal seals and/or valves. This said, the pump worked well out of the package, moving a good amount of fuel quickly but moving forward I'm considering this to be a one & done pump due to the failure that occurred while sitting for a week between projects.

Used it to pump out excess transmission fluid from my 1999 Honda Accord through the dipstick tube. The included smaller tube attachment fit perfectly to thread into the smaller diameter dipstick hole. I reinforced all the hose attachment points with plumbing tape as they're all just friction fit, but had no leaks. Not sure how well it will hold up to future use, but it was easy enough to clean with soap and water before storing.

Transmission fluid. Out with the old. In with the new. Use tape to help you hold the hoses where you want them, for me that was bucket and fill hole. Hold pump on ground or against something while pumping. I measured what came out and put exactly that amount back in. Check lipstick before and after to reach same level. Pumps fluid way faster than I expected.

For "reasons," I accidently overfilled the automatic transmission fluid on my 2004 Honda Pilot by one quart. Instead of having to deal with draining out the quart from under the vehicle, I thought I could use this pump to remove it via the dipstick tube. In short, it DID work, but it wasn't as easy as I would have hoped. The main problem is the connector that joins the larger red piping to the smaller black piping would not seal properly. Because of this, I couldn't get proper suction. At one point I needed my wife to come out and use the hand pump while I tried to hold the connector together more tightly with my hands. Again, I WAS able to remove the quart, but this pump didn't "just work" without a bunch of additional effort. Maybe yours will work better for you if you get it for the same reason I did.

Used it to empty water from bottom of cooler. Don’t know how the quality of the device will hold up.

Tried to siphon the boat, no luck only a few drops…..stay clear
