Frustration factor five
I purchased this as a replacement for a much more expensive GE Z-wave switch that is no longer manufactured. The switch is a bit thinner than the previous switch which is good, because the GE switch consumed a lot of space inside the gang box. There are a couple of things I really don't like about this switch. First, since it does not have a neutral (or a ground for that matter), there is current leak. It's enough to cause the outdoor LED lights to glow even when the switch is off. Second, it came with zero printed instructions. Confused the hell out of the electrician who was installing it.The frustrating part came later, when I was attempting to link the switch to my SmartThings hub. As this is a Zigbee swiitch it should be pretty easy to join the network, right? Well, if you happen to know the secret, it is. However, the Martin Jerry website is practically useless when it comes to using their products outside of the SmartLife app (which, I couldn't get it to join). The easiest way to get this switch to join your SmartThings hub is to:1. Press the reset button at the bottom of the switch for a count of 15.2. Log into your SmartThings App on your phone.3. Go into your devices and add device.4. Scan for nearby devices.5. Press and hold the power button (bottom part of the paddle) for about 5 seconds, until the reddish colored light starts blinking.6. Within a few seconds, the new switch should show up in your device list as Zigbee Switch.I won't be buying any more of these switches because of the missing neutral (and ground). I thought I could get away without it, but because I use LED fixtures, the leaked current is annoying.

Easily control fans and lights with no neutral wire
I've been looking for a simple way to add a Smart switch which allows me to control my ceiling fans and lights from a switch with no neutral wire. Even though there are many on the market they are typically rather expensive and my plan is to convert all of the switches in the house without spending hundreds of dollars to do so. This switch meets my needs it doesn't require a neutral wire it's comparatively inexpensive, it uses the zigbee protocol so it was fairly simple to pair with my smartthings V3 hub. Once paired I was able to add it to motion based and time based automations that allow me to turn on ceiling fans and turn them off when the room is unoccupied. Since this switch is hardwired it will also acts as a repeater further enhancing the zigbee mesh in my home. I removed one star because the build quality is not up to par with other major brand switchs. Hopefully these will last.

This is sorcery, I mean it.
I don’t know how they do it. Just connected two wires and BAM you have a smart light. No neutral no ground wire. I don’t know how safe it is but it’s work for what I need it for.

I've re-ordered twice and am slowly converting all my light switches to these
I opted for smart switches instead of bulbs for a couple of reasons:1) The thought of dropping anywhere from $15-$30 per bulb for smart bulbs seemed crazy to me2) I have kids who like to play with switches and I could just picture the frustration of trying to control the bulb from my Echo or my phone only to realize the switch had been switched "off"Those two reasons put me on the hunt for an affordable smart switch, and this one was one of the cheapest on Amazon, seemed like a good place to start. Just to be safe I only ordered one, I've since ordered 3 more and plan on ordering another 3 soon. Here are a couple of reasons I think these switches are one of the best deals out there for making your house a smart house -Installation - As others have said, it's pretty basic, if you can install a regular light switch you can install these. If you can't...find someone who can or hire an electritian, now that I've installed 4 of them it takes me about 10 minutes each time.Activation - pretty straight forward, the first 2 I set up had an error but the instructions had a handy dandy note of "what to do if you get an error" it was one extra step and they worked great after.App - I'm sure the smart life app isn't as slick as many of the higher-priced competitors but it's just as powerful. I have my porch light set to automatically turn on when the sun sets, and I've been able to tie switches and plugs together in the app.Integration - for anything the app can't do (or would be easier to do in a different app) there are good integrations. Using IFTT I have it set up so my entryway light turns on when I pull in the driveway. Using Alexa I have it set up so that when I say "It's movie time" my light switches all turn off and a lamp turns on for the perfect ambiance. So far I haven't run into any ideas I want to try that can't be done either through the native app or IFTT/Alexa.Appearance - These don't look cheap, they are modern and clean, I set up 2 of them as a double post and bought a seperate face plate which was easy to do, but otherwise the faceplate that they come with looks just fine.Value - Here's the big one, these are never listed for more than $20 and as of writing this they are $16 each, you can't find other reliable switches on Amazon for that price. I usually just watch for them to go on sale and I'll snag a couple.I've had my first switch for about a year now and the other three for 3-6 months with no issues. I'm planning on ordering more and can't recommend them enough!

Good quality for the price, easy convert to Tasmota OTA
Successfully converted to Tasmota OTA. Applied the MJ-S01 template. Integrated in my MQTT setup + Node-RED, works like a charm! Best of both world: Martin Jerry cloud for non-technical people, able to convert to Tasmota OTA for people like me!

Don't buy
Purchased a pack of 4 installed them all, unfortunately only 2 functioned correct.I asked Amazon for 2 replacements the only option they gave is to send them all back then receive a refund then reorder another set and reinstall.I will use the tp link in the future as I have had good success with them.

Martin Jerry Switches are Very Easy to Install
I bought my first Martin Jerry Switch that I installed in my kitchen for pendant lights over the island. The switch is well made and it was very easy to install. My wife was happy because now she can use her phone to change the brightness to her liking. Because it worked so well, I bought a second switch to control the ceiling pot lights. We are very happy with this product.
