Assembly was a little more involved than anticipated, but probably only took me about 15 or 20 minutes. If you're used to piecing together Ikea furniture, this will be a piece of cake for you. It feels quite sturdy, and I have used it as a step-stool to reach a high lamp switch in the house. I bought this as a reclining stool because my couch has a deep seat, and it's awkward to try to put our feet up in any other way. It is relatively lightweight, making it pretty easy to take from room to room, if you need it elsewhere. So far, we've been very pleased with the product.

The footstool is fine--as advertised. The instructions left something to be desired. I've posted them in case they didn't come with your package. The circled item in the photo E-4 is a threading device. Don't put it in until you know where the screws go. You'll want to align them with the screws. We had to use a flathead screwdriver to do so. Also the photo is incorrect. The dowels do not go in the holes corresponding to the threading device. The screws do. It may seem obvious to someone who puts together a lot of Ikea furniture, but not so for me at first. The stool is ok, worth about as much as I paid for it.

I really like the way this stepstool looks in my kitchen. I like the soft whoosh of the felt bottoms on the legs when it slides across the tile.

Have seen similar products for less money but it looks good and serves its purpose.

This is a bit small for an adult step-stool, though it is rated for an adult's weight. I did not buy it as a step-stool, however, but as a footrest for my husband to use while in his desk chair. (He is shorter than average and his feet don't reach typical desk footrests, never mind the floor.) It was easy to put together, designed to require a minimum number of screws, it's attractive, and it's solidly built. Perfect for my needs.

It’s a good stool—it feels very sturdy. However, it arrived with the top layer of the stool (a waterproof black plastic coating) delaminated and peeling off. Otherwise good quality

I bought this for the gingham pattern and simple look it has.-It came with extra assembly pieces (i.e. screws, felt piece etc).-looks cheap mostly because of the exposed screws, but perfect for a foot stool.
