Sadly this only lasted a few weeks before the connections became too loose and the feeds all started to drop out. At the price I am really let down.

Great product

Sadly, I had to return the product becuase the HDMI port does not convert to VGA signal. So I thought I will write this review if it helps someone trying to reuse a good old flat screen monitor that has only a VGA port connection.

I found the hub quite flimsy and 'plasticky' on opening. When I connected it to my Surface Pro 7, it wasn't a good fit as it had to be pushed in quite firmly to make a connection and then it came out slightly at one end when you released the pressure and dropped the connection with the Surface Pro.It would connect intermittently to a PC monitor either through the HDMI port or the USB C port (with appropriate cables), but not to 2 monitors at the same time (which was the reason for buying it). Then It stopped connecting to either of them. The usb connectors both worked fine.It was sent back immediately and I'll look to pay more for a device that (hopefully) works!

I bought this to connect a Surface Pro 7 to a brand new Dell monitor via HDMI. The monitor goes to sleep for 5 seconds every 60 then wakes up. After exhaustive tests with my IT dept the only explanation is that this device doesn't work properly with this hardware configuration. The monitor works perfectly with my personal laptop that connects HDMI to HDMI.
