Honestly, the HyperX Cloud III has been one of the best headsets I’ve used so far and I bought one for myself and my brother, and we’ve both had a really good experience with them. Even the packaging feels pretty luxury compared to a lot of other headsets, which was a nice first impression, thought they are a bit expensive, but the comfort is probably the biggest reason I’d recommend them. I’ve used them for long periods and they fit my head really well, with a tight and sealed feel that blocks out a lot of outside noise. The sound quality is really good, and from what I’ve heard the mic quality is good too and the software is also really simple and easy to use, especially if you’re someone who just wants to plug it in and use it without messing around with loads of settings. If you’re using a console, software isn’t really something to worry about anyway. I also like the connectivity part that you can use USB-C, USB-A and the 3.5mm headphone jack, which makes it pretty versatile. The only thing I wish they had was replaceable ear cushions like the Cloud II, because that would make this headset pretty much perfect and probably push it past a 5/5 for me but so far it’s been durable, comfortable and completely reliable with no issues. If it continues lasting as long as I expect it to, I’d say it’s definitely worth the money and a 4.8/5 ⭐

As a former semi-pro FPS player, and having had gaming as my primary hobby for 40 years, I am really impressed with this headset. It is very, very comfortable and can be worn for long hours without any discomfort. I wear glasses, and often headsets press them into your head and after a while it hurts. This one doesn't do that, it is very comfortable even while wearing glasses. Secondly it looks and feels like a quality product, the brushed aluminium extenders really feel like a good design decision and add to the feel of luxury. The microphone is excellent quality, good enough for online karaoke - and very clear on Discord, WhatsApp, and in game. Sound quality is absolutely perfect for games. You can easily hear where your enemies are coming from in FPS games and RPGs and the closed cup makes it very immersive. They have a lot more mid and top range, not as much bass, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend these for listening to music, but for gaming they are very, very good. Great value, quality product. Very happy.

My original HyperX Cloud IIs (Kingston edition) unfortunately began to fall apart, so I opted to attempt to upgrade to these after their many years of use and their remarkable quality. I have to say, sound-wise, these are unfortunately a downgrade, and a noticeable one, both for gaming and music. The sound profile of the predecessor just is not comparable to the default profile of these headphones in quality. But the silver-lining is that by using the NGENUITY app is that the equalizers are very customisable, so they can be fine-tuned to be closer to what you desire. It took a lot of tweaking for myself to get something remotely close to my old pair, but it is a large step better than what they came as. It was very flat and dull straight out of the box. The noise-cancellation is something that is better over the II, so much so that you will be lucky to hear anything in another room to you... if that is something you want. Although I've gotten used to it more now, I still feel a little disappointed in the loss, as the sound mattered most to me for my gaming settings and the music I listened to the other times. The microphone, compared to the Cloud II, is fortunately much better. While it's not perfect, it is suitable enough for a headset of this range. It has no noticeable buzz as my old pair had, and my voice is much clearer now. If you are in calls or voice chats often, and don't need the pristine quality of a dedicated microphone, you will do fine with this. In terms of comfort, while they are definitely not the lightest headset out there, it is still wearable for multiple-hour sessions without any discomfort. The padding is great, and I do think this is better over the older model(s?). A very minor but still present inconvenience in this headset comes from the external volume dial on the back of one of the speakers. It is very easy to catch and accidentally slide down without realising, if you are taking the headset on and off. But it is handy for it to be separate to system volume, if you want the independent controllers. But if you ever find the audio quality to feel oddly dryer or quieter than usual, it may be that you have accidentally caught and turned that down, as I once noticed. These are still a solid choice of headset, and I will continue to use them despite my opinions on the sound. It is still fine after tweaking, and perhaps someone is fine as they are out of the box, it is just a change that I was quite surprised by, as I expected these to maintain a similar level of quality right away. For the price range, it's fine. Just avoid enabling the software-side "surround sound" entirely. It is terrible. You will play just fine without it, and dare I say the quality and noise direction in any game will be leagues better without it.

build quality is fantastic. sound is very good. Only slight issue for me is they dont fold so storing them is a littel difficult but theyre brilliant for the price

Really good headphones. Very comfortable to wear over long periods of gaming. The mic is good quality for streaming as well. Noise cancelling works a little to well. Not set up needed really other than the basic plug and play. If you do have a pc and more knowledge this is a very easy set up witb hyperX software.

Its a good headset. There is no denying that. The problem that the wired version has is the... wires and connectors. They are awful quality with terrible design. To connect my wired headphones I have to connect the 3mm jack into another section of wire into a USB-C which I then have to connect into a normal USB to then connect into my PC. It is ridiculous. This awful system has resulted in my headphones having TERRIBLE popping problems which will occur out of the blue. The sound quality as a result goes from pretty good to why did I even bother spending this much money if the headset breaks so easily. Do not buy. If you want wired headphones, these are terrible. The wireless version is fine but nearly double the price. This alone has ruined HyperX reputation for me, probably will never buy another product again. My old Cloud II lasted me nearly 10 years with no problem. These broke in 10 months.
