Q: What is the recommended amperage? Will it work alright to replace a loud fan at .27A?

There is no "recommended amperage," you misunderstand the spec. If your current fan is marked ".27a," that mrans that's how much power/current it uses...so a replacement fan with a lower current rating means it draws/uses even less power...so even better for the circuit it's connected to. But that original ".27A" doesn't mean you're locked into that cuurent or less, just something around that...like maybe maximum ".5A" or anything less would be OK.
