Klipsch RF-7 III Floorstanding Speaker - each (Cherry)

Early Christmas present gift to myself. Shipment came quickly packed within a larger box for protection. Upgraded to the RF7iiii from the RF3s. Photo shows side by side of the two speakers to get a feel for the size of the RF7 to include the woofers. I am happy with the increase volume and quality of the sound coming from the speakers. I can definitely hear nuances from music I did not hear previously with my hearing (in my 50s). Not too bright (some cause Klipsch) but I previously adjusted bass and treble to my liking. These are pricey lately with most companies listing at $2499 but this one was open box discount (didn’t state) but price was decently discounted well below that. Only one on hand so I order this one and a week or so later found another open box. They are heavy to lift which means they are solid. Horns are at just the right level of my theater seating. I have paired with the 504C I center and some RP600M rears. One sub is a SPL-150; second sub was a 12” Infinity that died a few years ago and have not felt the need to replace. May move the 600s to side surround replacing my Infinity RS152s and move the RF3s to rear (not enough room on the sides. A great addition and fit to my home theater. I would buy from this seller again.

Best speakers ever made by Klipsch. I had RP-8000FII before getting this and I had secondary thoughts of getting this beast of a speaker. But, now I regret why I even wasted money on getting my RP-8000FII. THIS RF-7III is the perfect epitome of musical luxury. With Crystal clear highs. And what kind of a dynamic presence this line of speaker renders especially the mid range voice clarity.. Brilliant and top notched in it's class. It's made of real furniture grade wood and it's so heavy. Long durability for sure and I am extremely satisfied and happy. High efficiency, low distortion, controlled directivity and dynamic sound stage. All these factors are ✅ and don't even compare this with RP-8000FII or anything similar ..THIS is the TRUE FLAGSHIP . Just blindly go for it and this seller Walts is a renowned pioneer in home theater products and this is an unbeatable price.

Badass quality sounds

I have had these for only a few days, but already I want to watch a movie every night. Previously I had a pair of RP-280F's with an RC-62 II, but replaced them with a black ash pair of RF-7 III and an RC-64 III center speaker. The 280Fs had about a year of moderate use on them and the RF-7 IIIs were fresh out of the box, but the difference is night and day. There is just so much more sound. Clean powerful sound. It is invigorating. Obviously I really like the 280Fs otherwise I would not have "upgraded" to other Klipsch products. But, in my room shape and size, they just seemed to lack something. There is nothing lacking now! Fresh out of the box they were a bit harsh, but with even just a few days that has mostly worn off. This is early days, so I will update this review in about three months with my impressions then. These are driven by a Yamaha 150W per channel HT Receiver. This was the same for the 280Fs Finish wise they are like pieces of furniture, just beautiful. The finish on the 280Fs is clearly vinyl. If Klipsch had gone with the same build as the RF-7 IIs, I would likely have chosen the Cherry finish. However, I went with Black Ash because Klipsch changed the front of the RF-7 IIIs to be black and I did not like the contrast. Warning: These are REALLY big. Make sure you have a strong marriage before dropping these in the living room.

I gave these 5 stars but they ARE $3500/pair and I don't know how they sound compared to other speakers in a side by side comparison because that wasn't available to me when I listed to them today. I did compare them to the full line of Klipsch availble at the store, with the RP-280Fs being the next ones down which are only half the price, but the difference was quite easy to hear. These are beautiful sounding speakers- a big clear sound which I will be driving with a Crestron SWAMP 24x8 if I do get them. I listened to various music including a Widespread Panic performance I was at, which has 2 keyboard sounds, 2 types of percusssion, congas and standard drum set, 2 guitars, vocals and bass. It was a uncompressed 24bit recording in flac format. I could hear every nuance of every instrument driven at 150 watts all the way down to a low volume. I was very impressed. Now I have to listen to other speakers in the same price range to see what the others sound like. These set a high bar.

Ich nutze die Lautsprecher zum Musik hören (Stereo). Die Lautsprecher stehen in einem ca. 60m2 großen Raum, der bei uns Küche, Esszimmer und Wohnzimmer zugleich ist, und in dem man noch einige Maßnahmen für eine bessere Akustik ergreifen könnte. Nicht desto trotz ist der Sound richtig gut. Ich höre gerne Liveaufnahmen wie z.B. Ryan Adams in der Carnegie Hall (Vinyl) und bei der Platte hat man das Gefühl man sitzt direkt vor Ryan. Sehr tolle räumliche Akustik, tolle Details (ich sogar hören wie die Finger die Gitarrensaiten zupfen… ein Traum. Dabei nutze ich aktuell einen alten Wega (ich glaube 2x80Watt bei 8Ohm) Verstärker und Plattenspieler mit einem neuen Ortofon 2M Black Tonabnehmer. Kann es kaum erwarten die Lautsprecher mit einem richtige. Verstärker zu paaren. Vielleicht schafft es ja mal ein McIntosh in unser Wohnzimmer.
