PHILIPS Old Discontinued CX 5535/11 High Performance Bladeless Technology Tower Fan

After using the Philips CX 5535/11 tower fan for a few days, I’m genuinely impressed. The bladeless design feels modern and safe, especially with kids around. Setup was effortless, and the fan is incredibly lightweight, making it easy to move from one room to another. The airflow is powerful enough to cool a medium-sized room quickly. I found the Quiet Sleep mode especially useful at night—it’s barely audible and didn’t disturb my sleep. The touchscreen panel is sleek and very responsive, while the remote adds real convenience. I also appreciated the timer function, which helps avoid unnecessary power usage. Even during the day, it stays relatively quiet on medium settings. The oscillation function distributes air evenly without feeling too direct. It’s surprisingly energy-efficient and hasn’t caused any spike in my electricity usage. The aroma pad slot is a nice bonus—adds a subtle fragrance to the room. While it’s a bit pricier than regular fans, the features and quiet performance justify the cost. It blends perfectly with modern interiors and works well in both the bedroom and living area. Overall, it’s a solid upgrade for anyone seeking a silent, stylish cooling solution.

I wanted a tower fan for the summers. I use a Dreo one at my home, but since I couldn’t find it in India, I chose this Philips model. Pros - Decent build quality, that's it! Cons - It doesn’t serve the basic purpose of a fan. Does not produces enough airflow. My parents prefer using a small Bajaj table fan over this, which is 5times more effective than this. That’s how bad it is. Absolute RUBBISH. It’s now lying in a corner because nobody wants to use it. Worst part - Amazon India doesn’t allow returns if you don’t like the product. They sell such underperforming products but won’t take them back. Makes no sense. Absolutely disappointed. Rubbish product. Do not buy.

Been using this tower fan for a few days now. The bladeless design looks neat and feels safer around the house. Airflow is smooth and the noise level is quite low, which helps at night. The touchscreen and remote make it easy to adjust settings. It’s also lightweight, so moving it between rooms hasn’t been an issue. Best thing I loved is the aroma diffuser in this, just use any fragrance oil drops in it and you will have room freshner too. Overall, it’s working well for daily use.

Great build quality with a sleek, modern design. The fan is very easy to operate and the remote adds extra convenience. Airflow is strong yet quiet, making it perfect for daily use and ideal when watching movies because it avoids disturbing noise. When I keep it on full speed, after about an hour or so it automatically reduces the speed and noise, especially in night mode, so it stays comfortable and peaceful even during sleep. Easy to carry (light weight) and switch inside the house. Overall, a reliable and user‑friendly product from Philips. Highly recommended!

Very good

This is very very bad tower fan first of all the wind isn’t big enough to have full year out apart from that there is only one fan which works and if you are going to use it for 10 hours even still the air is going to be very slow and also I started having tonsils because of this fan and there was a damage to on the product and it doesn’t cool enough

I got this primarily to help us deal with this extreme summer heat. I have broken down the Pros and Cons below. Pros 1) Very silent 2) Nice and sleek 3) Has a decent air flow 4) the air is cool and refreshing when it hits you Cons 1) The shape of the tower means the air flow is narrow, meaning if you have 2 people sitting next to each other and if the swing is switched off, you could have one person getting the air and the other not getting any! For more than 1 person you need to enable the swing mode 2) The swing is as described on the box is just 60 deg. So you and your guests need to ensure you are crowded within that angle to enjoy its breeze 3) The remote will work only when it is pointed head on to the tower fan, this means when the fan is on swing mode and is pointing away from you the remote will not work. You need to wait for the fan to swing into your direction to operate it 4) The remote is more a fad and is practical only to switch on and off. Although it can control all the operations there is no indication on the remote to let you know what mode it is operating in 5) The best use case for this is if you are a single user working on your desktop to set this up close to your table but anything beyond this use case it fails It's not of a great use if you expect anything more from it and you will end up disappointed.

Works great. Wish it had more speeds, I would like lower first speed.
