Prepara EVAK Rubberised Handle, Matt Black, Large

This works as advertised. I have had several supposed 'vacuum' storage containers for my coffee beans. Some had hand pumps some were battery driven but they all had problems of one kind or another, mostly with the valves getting clogged. I appreciate that this isn't exactly a vacuum, it simply evacuates excess air, it continues to just work. Not a criticism of the product but if I were to get another I would get the smaller one, as it is difficult to reach the handle at the bottom when only small amounts of content remain. I am a large oaf so if you are more dainty you might not have this problem.

Looks great but it is fragile. Two of these have broken in less than a year.

brilliant design, clean and no fuss

This is a great vacuum storage container. It looks great on the counter. The lid forms a vacuum seal and is very easy to use. Coffee beans will stay fairly fresh as long as you don't have direct light hitting the container. Not sure how long the seal will last but if I ever have to submit a claim, I'm hoping prepara's customer service & warranty match the quality of this product.

I liked this container so much that I bought a second one and the matching spoon that hangs on the side. It keeps the contents fresh much longer than other containers. It functions as advertised. The main knock on them is they are not durable at all. I accidentally knocked one over and in shattered. I would understand if I dropped it of the table or even if it fell a few inches, but it was on the floor already and fell over. It can not survive being knocked on its side. If you are always very careful and never bump anything, it's a 5 star product, but if you live in the real world I probably wouldn't buy it again.

Needed an airtight solution for my ground coffee. Although a little messy (nature of ground coffee) the canisters are great and looks good too.

Loved this container for 6 months but the glass container is very fragile. I accidentally knocked it over and it shattered on my countertop. I would like to replace the container but could not find away to do that.
