The Delphi Murders: The Quest to Find ‘The Man on the Bridge’

The case of Abigail Williams and Liberty German
Brian Whitney and Nic Edwards write about the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German in THE DELPHI MURDERS: The Quest To Find The Man On The Bridge. I am a fan of true crime stories. I've read books from Author Brian Whitney before, and this book was well written, and gave some depth to the story. I think I read it at just the right time, as every time I read a true crime book, I look up more information about the case, to see if there has been any developments. And in this case, there were more developments than in the book, and it seems that court documents claim that the young girls were killed in a pagan cult, but that's according to the defense. There seems to still be a case while it is in court, and what is going on. It's called the Delphi murders because the girls went missing after going for a walk, in Delphi, Indiana. Their bodies were found near the Monon High Bridge trail in the Delphi Historic Trails. The book starts from the beginning, and goes through the motions of where the investigation went, especially in different directions, and there were different suspects, but that's how an investigation will go. The case is now in court, and I will be following it. My heart goes out to the parents of these young girls, as it is always disheartening to discover such a case. THE DELPHI MURDERS: The Quest To Find The Man On The Bridge is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I read this book to give my unbiased and honest review. I look forward to reading many more titles by this author. Amy's Bookshelf Reviews recommends that anyone who reads this book, to also write a review.

New information...
I read this in one sitting. As a true crime groupie I have followed this case closely. There is still so much the public hasn't been told. I'm not really feeling it with Richard Allen. He hasn't tried to hide anything and he hasn't tried to get away. I mean, he voluntarily offered information. I wouldn't think the "real" killer would be that brazen. I do feel it with Kegan Kline and his father, Tony. It will be interesting to see where the case goes.I would have given the book 5 stars but there are a few typos. Not many, but some. Overall I found the book very interesting, and even learned several new things.

No Verdict
Brian Whitney and Nic Edwards have written an incomplete report on the Delphi Murders. In addition the publisher must have had little experience dealing with subjects similar to this one. Why would an editor, publisher or author want to publish an account of an actual murder investigation before the trial of one arrested for the murder. Edwards seems to be the main culprit here and he takes the opportunity expound and preach re: his personal views on child murder, Bible teachings and other unrelated criminal activity. It was a great disappointment to wade through all of their verbiage only to find at the writing there had been no verdict, no trial, no conclusion. I would suggest you not read this book if it’s free.

Unravel the Mystery of The Delphi Murders
I recently read The Delphi Murders by Nic Edwards and Brian Whitney, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The book chronicles the 2017 murders of Abby Williams and Libby German, two teenage girls who were tragically killed while hiking in Delphi, Indiana. The authors do an incredible job of providing a detailed and thought-provoking analysis of the case, from the initial investigation to the ongoing search for the killer. What I appreciated most about this book was how the authors provided a human perspective to the case. They included interviews with family members and friends of Abby and Libby, as well as law enforcement officials and other experts who shed light on the intricacies of the investigation. This made the book a gripping and emotionally resonant read, and I found myself fully invested in the case and the search for justice.Another aspect of the book that I enjoyed was how the authors presented different theories and scenarios regarding the identity of the killer. They provided a balanced and objective analysis of the evidence, while also leaving room for readers to draw their own conclusions. I found this approach to be refreshing and engaging, and it kept me hooked until the very end.Overall, I highly recommend The Delphi Murders to anyone interested in true crime, or anyone looking for a well-researched and compelling read. Nic Edwards and Brian Whitney have done an outstanding job of honoring the memories of Abby and Libby while shedding light on a case that has captivated the nation.

Delphi and more
I’ve been a true crime follower since the early seventies - and have been listening to True Crime Garage since day one. That being said after years of listening to true crime podcasts and reading true books - and lately the Murdaugh trial and now the Vallow Daybill misery - I had decided to step away and take a long break. Then Nic Edwards publishes a book.Egads! I HAVE to read it!It does not disappoint! If you’re like me and haven’t really followed the Delphi case this book sorts out all the nonsense and creates an easy to follow timeline and suspects list.Maybe I missed it - but a map would have been a nice to have.Great writing in Nic’s conversational style. Great commentary about his and the Captain’s background. A bit of insight into the joys and stresses of podcasting.Hopefully Nic has some more book ideas up his sleeve.Highly recommend this thoughtful and well executed review of the Delphi case.

Comprehensive and well written.
As a listener of true crime garage podcast and a follower of the delphi case since the beginning I had to read this book and it doesn't disappoint. I actually finished it it two days. It accurately gives all the known facts and applies logic and reason to all the previous theories. With some interesting background on the author thrown in.i truly Hope Nic plans on writing more books but most of all I hope Libby and Abby get the justice they deserve.

Down to Earth and Insightful
Nick’s book echos his work on TCG - insightfully told, thoroughly researched and accessible to all. His passion for solving this crime and others like it shines in this book - no need to be humble Nick! This book is excellent stuff.

Great book but ending slight let down.
Genuinely enjoyed this and hope the author writes more in future. The end feels a bit of a let down, but it's hard to finish a book when the trial was ongoing.

Man on the Bridge
This book was clearly a passion project for the author. Their personal commitment to this crime and bringing justice for the two young victims shone through. That said unfortunately the writing was clunky, and I found myself reading some passages multiple times to understand what the author was trying to say. I only know a little about this case so I can't comment on whether the book brings anything fresh to the table. It was disturbing however to find out about other crimes against children not too far from Delphi.
