Reliable PLA+ Filament with Great Print Quality
I’ve had consistently good results with eSUN PLA+ filament. The filament feeds smoothly, prints cleanly, and produces good layer adhesion without requiring much tweaking to my printer settings. I experienced very few issues with stringing or clogging, which made longer prints much less stressful. The spool was wound neatly, helping to prevent tangles during printing. I was also happy with the color—it printed true to what I expected and gave finished projects a nice, professional appearance. Whether you’re printing functional parts, toys, or decorative items, this filament offers a good balance of strength and printability. Overall, it’s a dependable PLA+ option that delivers consistent results and is one I would purchase again.

Great filament for skulls and skeletons
I found a 3D model for an interesting skull so naturally I wanted to print it out. A small test print with white filament came out great but the color just wasn't right. Does anyone make a bone-colored PLA filament? Of course they do. I'm not the first weirdo to 3D print a skull after all. A minute of searching brought up this spool from eSUN, and after a few clicks, it was on its way to me. I've used eSUN PLA before and, while I prefer Elegoo by a very narrow margin, eSUN has given me good results. I was a little worried because the skull I was printing would have to be done in 2 parts (skull and mandible), and the main part was a 23 hour print. Plenty of time for something to go wrong. Bambu has a preset for eSUN PLA+ so that's what I used. After slicing, loading the spool, and hitting the print button, I crossed my fingers and walked away. I checked on it again in the morning (12 hours later) and so far everything looked good. Layer lines were visible but not too prominent. Since I was using a 0.4mm nozzle, I didn't expect the lines to disappear. There was a slight gloss to the print. I would have preferred a matte finish to simulate bone porosity, but since I didn't specify a matte filament, I was neither surprised nor disappointed. At the end of 23 hours, the skull was waiting on the build plate. It looked exceptional, without so much as a stray filament, void, or other defect that I could see. The support material (there was quite a bit of it) broke away without much fuss and I was left with something that, from a few feet away, could pass for a skull. Adhesion was just right. The part never shifted during the print but was relatively easy to remove from the build plate once everything had cooled. I did use a little hairspray as an adhesion promoter-- I wasn't taking any chances-- but I doubt that I actually needed it. The mandible was a much easier print (only about 6 hours) and it came off without a hitch. After years of dealing with finicky 3D printers and filaments that would only print correctly about half the time, I was floored that I could walk away for an entire day without looking over my shoulder once and come back to a completed print. I usually pay $10-$12 a spool for garden variety PLA. This spool was slightly pricier at $18, but it is a specialty filament and the price is quite reasonable for the quality and appearance that you get. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this filament. It worked flawlessly for this project.

Consistently Reliable and Excellent Quality Filament!
I’ve used a lot of different PLA+ brands, and eSUN continues to be one of the most dependable options out there. The filament feeds smoothly with zero tangles or breaks, and the diameter consistency is spot-on, resulting in precise, clean prints every time. Layer adhesion is excellent, and the surface finish comes out beautifully glossy without needing any extra tuning. This PLA+ also has great toughness compared to standard PLA — parts feel stronger and less brittle, perfect for both functional prototypes and aesthetic prints. It sticks well to the bed without warping, and cleanup after printing is effortless. If you want a filament that performs well across different printers and print speeds, eSUN PLA+ is a solid choice. Great value for the quality and reliability!

Reliable, Vibrant, and Smooth – Perfect for High-Quality Prints
I’ve used eSUN PLA+ for several projects now, and it consistently delivers excellent results. The Pine Green color in particular is stunning—deep, rich, and professional-looking without being overly glossy or flashy. Why I Love It: Prints Like a Dream: This PLA+ flows smoothly with no clogging or stringing. It adheres well to the bed (I use a glass plate) and layers bond cleanly for sharp, strong prints. Durable and Tough: Unlike regular PLA, this PLA+ has a bit of flex and doesn’t snap easily. It’s perfect for functional parts that need strength but don’t require ABS. Excellent Dimensional Accuracy: My prints came out to spec with zero warping or layer shift. The advertised ±0.03mm tolerance seems legit. No Weird Smells: While not completely odorless, this filament emits a very mild, inoffensive smell—definitely better than ABS or PETG in my experience. Consistent Roll: The filament is neatly wound and tangle-free. I’ve gone through nearly the whole spool without a single feeding issue. Minor Considerations: Requires a Bit Higher Temp Than Regular PLA: I print this at 210°C nozzle / 60°C bed, and it works perfectly. Just don’t assume it’ll behave like standard PLA at 190°C. Color Can Look Dark Indoors: The Pine Green is a beautiful shade, but depending on lighting it may appear almost forest green. Still elegant, just not neon bright. Final Verdict: If you’re looking for high-quality PLA+ that balances strength, reliability, and aesthetics, eSUN delivers. The Pine Green color is perfect for nature-themed prints, miniatures, cosplay props, and durable parts. I’ll definitely be buying more.

Unusable for lithophanes. Extreme stringing even after full calibration.
I bought eSUN PLA+ White specifically for a lithophane project. After spending hours on temperature towers (190°C–230°C) and retraction tuning, I still could not get this filament to stop stringing. Here is what I tried: · Temperature tower from 190°C to 230°C · Retraction tuning from 0mm to 2mm · Drying the filament (even though it was new) · Adjusting Z-hop, wiping settings, and print speeds The only temperature that worked even reasonably well was 230°C, the absolute top of the recommended range. At lower temps, the stringing was so bad the print would knock itself off the bed. At 230°C, there was still persistent "fuzz" and fine hairs on every print, no matter what retraction settings I used. For comparison, I switched to Polymaker PolyLite White and got a clean, string-free print immediately with no settings changes. eSUN PLA+ might work for simple mechanical parts, but for detailed prints like lithophanes or anything requiring clean travel moves... this filament is not reliable. The white color is fine, but the print quality is not. TL;DR: Too much stringing, even after extensive tuning. Switched brands and the problem disappeared immediately.

Brittle compared to other colors
The bone colored filament is way more brittle on the spool than any of the other eSun PLA+ I've used. Broke a few times on the way to the extruder under its own tension.

Top. Immer wieder gerne
